Mazi_Omenuko: Just read the first update! Wonderful! Larry carefully avoided the burden of developing characters and plots; just passed it down to the next writer.

And he hinted the main character to be a randy fellow! Thank goodness! I hope efe doesn't turn him to a Revd. Father before it gets to my turn.

I'm loving this.

*** Gasps with pretended shock!! ***

Mazi!! grin grin

@Larry, cool stuff - can't wait till my turn now cheesy

Oahray: excellent move, excellent opening. It makes for good suspense. And allows the other writers a shot at creativity.
Can't wait for my turn.
Mazi is worried about reverends and Iam worried about what he is going to write about...

Feeling secared olredi....

On the brighter side of the story

Sir Larry I salute you, this chapter reminds me of the book Iam currently reading. Short stories for Africa...its beautiful.

Nice Larry. Very nice. A really fantastic opening that has set the pace for the other writers to follow. Let us now endeavour to build and maintain momentum. The rest of us really have our work cut out for us. REALLY.

A little warning to Mazi Emenuko: If you turn Lucan to a randy asss, he will repent and give his life to Christ by the end of chapter 8. grin

It's a rather worrisome possibility because this is a collaboration of writers with different styles and different ideologies.
Re: Nairaland Detection Club by EfemenaXY: 6:25pm On Feb 08, 2013
^^ Which I think should make it all the better.

Different collection of writers: shaken but not stirred cheesy

Then backslide again on getting to chapter 16grin. Did you see how he rescued that girl, ignoring his own pains from the fire? That's the kind of character I love working with!

Mazi, you're beginning to scare me o. Thickening the plot is most important. Turning a character to a Pope or Porn star might diminish the originality of the plotting. Focusing on the plot development should rather be paramount.

Larry, seeing that I am last on the list, do I end the story or continue it and throw it back to you? be warned, I don't do happy endings ooo. I even hate it when the good guy wins in movies

those 'unnecesary details' are foundation stones upon which the plot can be built. All NL mosquitoes are the same regardless of their colour. They want something so straightforward. Its a detective/crime novel, not a romantic shortstory.

Thanks a lot, White. I'll remember to improve on that. I'm still a learner, you know?

Oh, no...there isn't any reason for me to report you to Cud. You just did something great wink

Bless you, ma'am.

though we think alike...even Happry Potter always had a happy ending towards the end of the story.
