One of the three suspects was identified as Oladipupo Popoola, 35, a resident of 21, Ipamesan area of Sango Ota.

An indigene of Ogun State, he is married and has a 3-year old daughter.

Police sources told P.M.News that Oladipupo is a land agent in Iyana Ipaja area of Lagos.

Another suspect is Fatai Onipede, 31, a native of Owu, Abeokuta.

He is a member of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) at Ifo, Ogun state.

He is married and has two children, a three-year old boy and a four-month old girl.

Adetutu Akilo, 30, is the third suspect. He claims to be the son of a Baale in Sango Ota.

He attended St. Peter’s Primary School Ota and Sango High School, but dropped out in 1996.

Mr. Kefas Gadzama, commissioner of police in charge of the Federal Special Squad at Adeniji Adele, Lagos, said: “These suspects connived with other bandits to rob the banks at Canaanland.

They used AK-47 rifles and killed some policemen during the operation.

No, these old touts served as informants( too late to cry). The real robbers are the sons of the "prominent Nigerians" and were one time students of covenant university.

To be an armed robber in nigeria is suicidal. Any armed should be meticulous, ready to shoot his way out of any web and be ready to die horribly in the hands of nigerian police or angry mob if he makes mistake. There is no room for error for men of iron in naija.
