I strongly believe that premarital sex is sinful and I know that other bible believers know this.
It is clear that many xtian believers abstain from sex during courtship, but some cannot do away with hugging and kissing. Many believe that it is not sinful while others believe that it is sinful. Look, am not talking of pecking here. But the real bedroom kissing and hugging that can lead to the next scene.
I want mature christians to shed more light on this. If it is sinful, give biblical support to convince me and if it is not, give your reasons and support it with bible verses.

Im not a matured christian, im still growing. I think kissing is a sin because it can lead to bed stuff but hugging is not. My fiance and i have hugged like 5 times. I will ask him when we see on his on view on kissing.

Now the bible did not say much about the sinfulness or not of kissing and I would not want to categorically say it's a sin but since the bible said something about a holy kiss, that on its own suggest that there must be an unholy kiss.

Do you know it took me over 3 hours to convinced a lady on this issue? She argued and gave reasons for hugging and kissing during courtship. My stand is NO. What I need is biblical verses to support my points.

@op I think it is a sin because Jesus Christ said in Matthew 5:27-29 that whosoever looketh at a woman so as to lust after her hath committed adultery with her in his heart. Kissing a potential spouse can lead to lust which in turn leads to sin.

ive never said this before,but;what is this doing on the Front page? ok;i do not think kissing is a Sin,i think it depends on how much self control the couples have,if you know swapping saliva will cause you to go farther than you want to,dont even try. but if you can handle it,by all means do...jux know your limits,you know they say;when a handshake extends beyond the elbow... in this case,when a kiss extends beyond the facial area...Torh

Its not bad to kiss or hug ie 'good bye or welcome hug and kiss', however any kissing or hugging that is unduely prolonged or leads to sexual arousal is a sin.

No it is not a sin. Premarital sex is the sin..in which case i believe to mean touching intimate and hidden parts of the body. No its not a sin at all

So many people are going to call for my head by the time they finish reading this.

Well I am a christian but a rational one. I am sure in the days of the old when the Bible was given to men, things are quite different and I could supposed that based on evidence people then actually marry on time(I am sure some people will point out those that never got married and those that married late. Which does not in anyway becloud the fact that majority of them got married at an early age). But let me stray a little away from the bible, I really don't know the sin that there is when biologically your body starts acting up based on hormones. These hormones am sure you never asked for it, you get to an age when your body realizes it is time to put these "instrument" to use, biologically that is your body speaking. But due to the present situation of things on ground most people don't get married until like 10 to 15 years into puberty. How on earth do you expect them to continue defying their biological makeup? At this point I would supposed that's why my Muslim brothers up North have to either marry for their son at an early age of 18/19 to prevent them from getting themselves involve into ugly circumstance as mentioned let alone asking the question which the op asked. But then if you can't afford to get married and given the situation on ground which is not your own making, I think what is wrong is stopping nature to take its course.

How can one classify something meant to express your love for your partner a sin. These laws were made by people who do not face the challenges you face today.. they got married at 17 an 19, how the hell do you expect anyone that is 30 to be a virgin? A few people by choice yes but this is against natural instincts, why the hell would God care who you hug and kiss? There's many people dying in Syria by the day that's a better problem to fix.

What is ''muslims sha''?? He is simply trying to point out respectfully that even when many xtian threads make the front page, you will hardly ever find any muslim complaining, not to talk of throwing insults on such threads.

But if JUST ONE muslim thread makes homepage EVEN on a FRIDAY, you see xtians complaining, asking if this is an islamic forum, asking why islam is bein shoved down their throat, then several insults will follow on the Prophet & Allah.

The threads are there. Go and see for yourself and take statistics if you wish. Yet, the general 'consensus' is that muslims are intolerant & insultive. Yeahright!!!!

@Topic, not a xtian, but I dont think any real christian needs the Bible to tell him/her that kissing / hugging someone who is not your wife/husband (& who you can marry) is a sin. May God forgive us.
