take dat: Here the Chairman of INEC stated that INEC just replied the other APC(African People's Congress) letter of intent by explaining to them the procedure for registration. During the official unveiling of APC(African People's Congress), they showed a receipt of N1million paid as administrative fee to INEC for registration. They also showed a form PA1 which they ought not to have supposing we want to believe Jega that INEC just/recently replied their letter of intent explaining the registration procedure to them. Its either Jega is lying or there are saboteurs inside INEC working for the party. I believe the movers of the African People's Congress should be questioned on how they were able to pay for the administrative fee and their claim that they have completed all the necessary requirement even before INEC was able to acknowledge their letter of intent! www.thisdaylive.com/articles/leadership-of-controversial-african-peoples-congress-steps-forward/142249/

The parties merging into All Progressive Congress(APC) should hurriedly hold their respective conventions if truly they want to merge, or else they will continue to fall for the b0oby traps and landmines planted by PDP!

Morgan1092: The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Attahiru Jega, yesterday, said that no political party with acronym “APC” has been registered. .
Speaking on a live audience participation Radio Nigeria Hausa programme Hanu Dayawa, monitored in Kaduna, Jega said the All Progressive Congress (APC) just recently officially notified the commission that it intended to merge some opposition parties into one.
Said Jega: “This issue has generated controversy in thepast few weeks. Firstly, the truth is that no political party wrote to notify us that it is planning to merge with some other political parties until the past five days or so.
“Therefore it not true that we were notified. The issue became serious when one group came out to seek for registration and I guess that was what made them to write and notify us. But that is not the issue. The main issue is that there are guidelines for registered political parties who want to merge to become a new party. There are also guidelines for individuals or groups who want to form a political party for registration”.
The INEC boss explained that the guidelines for registering new political parties are different from those for registered political parties wanting to merge, saying registered political parties merging must have agreed to merge and each of the political party in the merger must have held a convention and agreed to withdraw their registration as a political party to become partof the new party to be form through the merger.
“After their conventions, theyare expected to write and request INEC to withdraw their former registration and say they want to join a new party. In spite of all the controversies, none of these political parties who want to merge has held their convention” Jega stated.
“We only read in the newspapers that they have the intention of merging andnobody wrote us until about five or six days ago. If anybody wants to register a political party, you are expected to tell INEC of your intention by saying that you want to register a party with so and so name and you want to know the procedure for doing so.
“Only one group came. The group asked one lawyer to write INEC saying they wanted to form a political party with a particular name and they wanted to know the rules and procedures for registration as a political party.
“If this other group has done so, we would have replied them and tell them the rules and the procedures they are supposed to follow to be registered. So, the issue of whether we have collected the name of this other group and whether we have agreed to register them doesnot even arise because we just replied to their letter by telling them the procedure.
“While this was going on, some people started making noise saying that they wanted to merge with so, so name. Some of them were even saying that we have registered the other group with that name. It is not done like that.
“People are just making noise over the name which isin the market while we have not even gotten to that stage. While all these noise were going on, another group came up seeking for registration with the same name.
“We have rules and guidelines for all this and we are determined to follow the rules to avoid any confusion. But we have not reached a stage where we can say a group has been registered with so, so name. So all thesenoise is just part of our politics in Nigeria”.

Not only this!
INEC just recently claimed that they are considering raising the registration fees to N1 Million, meanwhile at the APC unveiling, the APC showed the receipt for the N1Million they paid. the question is, how did that APC pay a fee that INEC was about to announce?

Small boy, grow up. With all this cumbersome process highlighted above by the INEC, the merging can only be done through gradual and slow process. If fake APC want, they should do kangaroo registration. Nobody, I repeat, nobody can stampede real APC into making irrational decision. Slow and steady ......

strangest: Tinubu and Buhari should stop making noise and register their party... very simple thing...
tinubu is abig thieving fraudster who has nothing to offer even his village. As for buhari, that one is supposed to be in the hague long ago and be battling jail terms for the boko haram he brought to this quasi-country.
Parties are not registered on pages of The Nation, Daily Trust and Lagos Tv (LTv). They know

Hahahahahahahahacheesy! I de laugh.... Jonah is a different type of politician in Nigeria, he remains dormant while other parties run helter-skelter, he(Jonathan) dweel at the center of his spunned web and watches as his prey(APC) and co. hovers around, using the opportunity to discovering who his real enemies are. So APC is so dumb as not to know when they are played, Eh? Hahahaha... When the party was formed, i told people to watch, but how could they? When they are mentally myopic, the defectors from PDP are sent to distablise the APC agenda right from its inception. Imagine Babangida Muazu joining opposition that have not registered, have they(APC) forgotten what Aliyu said during PDP convention that saw the emergence of Jonathan: 'politics is our business! We deal in politics, we thrive in politics!...', and these ninc0mp0ps(the masses) here are thinking that they have found the paradice. Well, if ACP is a party of confused individuals(Buhari and Tinubu), why would the followers be of any different? At least the duo will gain some money, the followers will go home beating their breasts in regret, and history will repeat again(men never learn fron history), no wonder our graduates are m0r0ns while the uneducated leads them. Well, the academia are indulged in studying past theories, while non-martriculants learns practical lessons of life, which is why the graduates are perused when the step into the labour market. Dear friends, as i keep laughing, i must duely inform you that politics is a process where two wolves(the prospective politicians) and a sheep(the electorate) lined up to vote on what their next repast will be, imagine the sheep jumping. Hahahahahahaaha.... The masses are too dumb that everyone that becomes a leader will find himself fortunate to be there, the masses do not think. This is a bobby trap for the opposition parties. As they are withdrawing their registration, PDP is already in court declaring the seats of the Senators and the Reps vacant. Within two days, judgment is obtained restraining them from entering the chambers! ACN, CPC, ANPP, you better wear your thinking cap.

I believe the time has come in Nigeria when we should stop voting for political parties but individuals that have credibility. That was how Fashola won his first election. My fingers are crossed to see the candidates that will be contesting in 2015, then I can decide who will get my vote.
