I noticed too that the first sword blow didn't actually go into Ra's. I don't know if that was an intentional miss.
Besides, they were fighting in identical costumes.
It became pretty hard figuring out who was who.
I expected a better duel, especially when compared to their first fight.

Oliver learnt from his first fight with Ra's and that what the Stunt Choreographer explained in the video...the fight wasn't meant to be long lived....and yes, the side slash by Oliver was deliberate .
Watch the video where the Choreographer explained very move made by Oliver.. it was brilliant.
