we have NIPRD at Idu, NABDA along airport road, RMRDC at maitama then SHETSCO after kwali. All these are research institutes. There's 7up and coca-cola also.

Rebekkah: NIPRI, RMRDC, AND NABDA DON'T PAY FOR NOW. RMRDC DON'T HAVE A LAB ,ONLY OFFICES. I ALREADY CHECKED THOSE ONES. OK, WHERE IS 7UP AND COKE PLS.
NIPRD payed me while I did IT there in 09, and I had colleagues in RMRDC who were also paid at the time. Maybe they've changed policy.

Coca-cola and 7up are located at Idu Industrial Layout, just after airport junction.

National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI) seeks a Resident Senior Security and Operations Manager to oversee security and operations support to NDI Nigeria programs.



Responsibilities include coordinating security policies and procedures for NDI/Nigeria, reporting to the NDI/Nigeria Country Director and coordinating closely with the Director for Global Security and Operations and program staff in Washington, DC. The position is a temporary 6-month assignment and is located in Abuja, Nigeria.


Resident Senior Security and Operations Manager
Primary Responsibilities
1.Operate as the point of contact for all security-related issues
2.Maintain awareness of the security environment and potential areas of risk for NDI personnel and activities, particularly in Abuja.
3.Ensure implementation of program security plan, communication protocols, and emergency plans; and recommend specific actions and policies designed to enhance staff security;
4.Collect, review, and disseminate security information to NDI management team, liaise with a variety of information resources to ensure the NDI management team has credible pool of knowledge to support decision making.
5.Identify current and emerging threats and NDI vulnerability based on current and proposed programming and activities,
6.Provide mentorship for Local National Security Focal Point. Work to build security management capacity at all levels, to include periodic training to staff, guards and drivers on incident management, travel safety, access control or other topics as indicated by management (first aid, surveillance detection for example) .
7.Review physical security procedures and practices on an ongoing basis and recommend updates where necessary; provide supervision of office guard force, ensure standing orders are in place and followed,
8.Oversee and coordinate the procurement of external support services, including panic button response, security technology, and medical assistance companies;
9.Ensure NDI staff travel is properly planned, resourced, and tracked.
10.Ensure office has sufficient resources for routine and emergency communications. Manage satellite phone and personnel tracker pool, and provide periodic testing/training of units, provide recommendations on additional communications resources such as personnel tracking, sat-based hotspots etc.
11.Ensure NDI’s disaster preparedness, medical response, and evacuation planning are sound and properly resourced; provide direct incident management support in the event of major incident.
12.Provide security support to NDI sponsored events including venue assessment, liaison with venue and other local security actors (MOPOL, Police, etc.)

Skills and Abilities
1.Demonstrated ability and experience managing security/operations teams.
2.Commitment and demonstrated ability to build national staff capacity in the areas of logistics, operations, and security.
3.Cultural sensitivity in working with a multinational office staff.
4.Detail oriented, highly flexible and strong organizational skills.
5.Verbal and written communication skills.
6.Sense of initiative, self-motivated, and goal/deadline-oriented.
7.Working knowledge of Google Apps (Gmail, Calendar, Google Drive, G+, etc.) and Microsoft Word and Excel strongly desired

Education and Experience

3.Experience working in post-conflict environments and/or countries undergoing political transitions required.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

Graduate with minimum 3 - 4 years commercial expertise gained across Sales/Consumer Marketing, preferably in the power sector
Good communication skills –written and verbal

Geographically mobile.
Healthy and physically fit.
Experienced driver with valid license

Reports to: Head, Sales
Supervises: Sales Executive
Job Objectives
Supervise all outlet operations
Increase outlet turnover and maximise profitability
Responsibilities

• Promote and increase sales through the outlets
• Improve customer loyalty and satisfaction
• Intervene and provide solutions for the dissatisfied customer
• Seek and continuously develop knowledge and information about competitor activity, pricing and tactics, and communicate this to Head of department.
• Drive periodic promotion program (sales, discounts, special offers and schemes) at outlet level
• Manage stock levels and make key decisions about stock control
• Manage costs and overheads, and all factors affecting the profitable performance of the shop.
• Manage security, and emergency systems staff and customer awareness, according to company policy and relevant laws
• Manage cash and payment systems in accordance with company procedures and policies, at all times with staff and customer safety as the uppermost priority.
• Deposit sales cash and cheques in the bank
• Prepare stock-level reports
• Analyse sales figures and forecast future sales volumes to maximise profits
• Analyse and interprete trends to facilitate planning
• Respond to customer complaints and comments
• Ensure that delivered products conform with order specifications
• Develop personal skills and capability through on-going training, as provided by the company or elsewhere subject to Company approval
• Coordinate and supervise the activities of staff in the arrangement of new stock.
• Liaise with Inventory management team as concerning stock-out goods and supply as required
• Manage, maintain and report all merchandise and non-merchandise stock



Qualifications and Requirements:

Candidate must be SMART
Minimum of HND/Bachelor’s degree in any numerate discipline
3 years cognate experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
