Hi Damkollins, Solomonwise. I've sent a message to Accra via the dedicated link informing them of my change of Job. I actually sent the message since Saturday but, I've not gotten a reply from them. What do you guys think. Is the delay usual? |

Dear Forumites, I have a friend who applied for FSW 2014. But she forgot to check the checklist for documents and forms submitted. What can she do now as her sister in Canada told her that it's too late to submit and that even though she submits, it will not be accepted. |

LOBOFC: From what I know you both don't need to write another test. Minimum CLB for principal app is 7 (i.e. minimum of IELTS score of 6 in all sections) while that of accompanying spouse is 4 (i.e. minimum of IELTS score of R-3.5, W-4.0, L-4.5 & S-4.0). Her score of 5.0 in Listening is equates to CLB of 5. See this link for more info. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/language/charts.asp 2 Likes 1 Share |

damkollins: Hi Collins, I just read through your advice, i just need a little more clarification. I had a baby in Nov 2014, but submitted my application before then. I got charged yesterday, how/when do i inform these folks about the new addition. Also, I submitted a form that didn't allow us specify preferred Visa Office, meaning I have no idea which Visa office I will be attached to eventually. Thank you for your anticipated response |

Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by akanni(m): 2:22pm On Jan 30, 2015 |
jenijadez: Start from there: sit for IELTS general and begin processing your ECA i.e your highest qualification, you can use WES canada, just google it and read up the process flow(request for transcript from school, register on the WES.CA site and follow the steps). |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by jenijadez: 2:35pm On Jan 30, 2015 |
Many thanks @akanni. Please may I get an email address I can reach you on? You can also contact me on chiomji@yahoo.com. Please will appreciate helpful tips from anyone in the house too. Again, for the ielts exam,do I really have to register for lessons? |

All EE candidates who have submitted their profile are advised to go back and update their profile. CIC updated the required proof of funds few days ago and chances are high that they will use the updated POF during the draw....... http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp 1. Log in to mycic 2. Click " check status and message" 3Click " view submitted application" 4 . click personal details form and edit the required Updated POF ( wrt the CIC link above) 5. The POF section is under " family " details 6. DO NOT CLICK " save and continue" when you are done with the update of the POF. Click the other option . this will ensure that you sign in digitally again with your given names and surname. When done with the update, log out of my CIC and log in again...... It will he observed that status of profile will change to " update in progress" Log out again and log in few min after and it will be confirmed that " update has been submitted" best of luck to all in the pool..... Happy swimming 1 Like |

Preston2012:You must have an overtly verifiable reason to request extension of your medicals . If it is because of cost ,I'm not sure it's justifiable so you have to try to do it in your current location . If I'm not asking too much ,do you mind saying the major reason why you intend to request for extension ? Also ,are you sure they indeed give you 30 days for Medicals ? I say it because mine was 60days for medicals despite been asked to submit other documents within 30days.The days for the medicals can actually be seen on the separate medical instruction sent to you 24hrs after the medical request email. Whichever case ,it's very important you do your medicals early. Let's hear your intended reason out first before concluding . Cheers. |
You must have an overtly verifiable reason to request extension of your medicals . If I'm not asking too much ,do you mind saying the major reason why you intend to request for extension ? Also ,are you sure they indeed give you 30 days for Medicals? Yes the first letter requesting for RPRF and police clearance stated 60 Days while the medical request letter that came in 24hrs later stated 30days. I am actually asking for the extension cuz of the distance from my present house to the nearest available CIC clinic. It's over an hour journey one leg and it would be stressful carrying my baby along. Doing it in Lagos would be more convenient and cheaper. I already notified Accra via the CSE link 2 days ago and I await their response. If no response within a week, I would have to do it here. Thanks. |

cerezo:Wait till when you get your Positive eligibility review (PER) mail. Even if you did not fill your forms with visa office,CIC will use your current address location to route your application to....in your case,it will be surely Accra visa office unless your address/location is outside Africa. Use the link below to send CSE to accra after you receive your PER mail... https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/case-cas-eng.aspx?mission=accra Cheers. |
