^^^Nollywood movies will always gross poorly till they stop direct-to-dvd productions.

Cinemas are the answer. But who would pay to watch a Nollywood movie in a Cinema when they can get it cheap in Alaba for #100? grin grin grin

That's the reason quality Nollywood films are shown mainly at the cinemas and most of them never get released on DVD sef

So renowned filmmakers who screen their movies across Africa, UK and even most recently United states and other countries should be able to make their money back.
This and the rest of your post makes a lot of sense.

Well I think until the 'general masses' with the same we-want-it-for-free-or-almost-nothing mindset changes, films will never make their money back in 'Nigeria' coupled with the fact we need a ton more cinemas. Simple truth... foreign markets is where it's at... even Hollywood doesn't make its money back in just the US.
