there is a reason American government use drones and air strikes against terrorists-they dont want to feed them and cater for them in their prisons.
Our government should use air strikes on these terrorists.take no prisoners.

...and how about the innocent kids, mothers, fathers, uncles, aunts and sisters those pigs sent to great beyonds via bombings at the bus parks, homes and police stations? These people are animals and must be treated as such.. Take your sympathy elsewhere..

It's all about 'an eye for and eye'.. kill by the sword and DIE by the sword..

sad

You do NOT kill women and children unless there's proof that they're combatants!
The Nigerian army is well trained and include muslims and christians and they are NOT uncivilised!!!

Truckpusher: Where are the pictures of the raided camp?

It's high time we stop swallowing everything we see on paper hook, line and sinker without any scrutinized and certified fact. How can you tell us you raided a terrorist camp and you're backing up your stories with an old military picture of our troops in training session.

Though, i won't blame the Govt. as long as they say "we raided a terrorist camp" they are dead sure that gullible Nigerians will believe everything they tell them without proof......smh

Well said!

HARDDON: White Shadow response and i quote:

Good start, try as much as possible to minimise civilian casualties and provide immediate relief should be provided for civilians caught in crossfire in order the have a moral advantage over these beast from hell. Government should mobilize all media outfit within its disposal to tell their own side of the story. Acces to BH news media sympathizers such as vanguard, punch, Aljazera, BBC..and other should be restricted to aviod uneccessay distraction. The security vote for the affected state should be suspended and this war should be sustain as long as it take. All state bothering the affected state should be put on high alert and should be proactive in going after suspected BH members. Air gunship support should be readily available when needed to support our gallant military officers on the ground. Our prayers and thought are with the army as they embark on this noble duty. Shame on ACN, shame on Tinubu, shame on CPC, shame on the unrepentant coup plotter Buhari for playing politics with the lives of the innocent southerners and moderate muslims.
PLEASE TAKE NO PRISONER "THE ONLY REPENTANT ISLAMIC TERRORIST IS THE DEAD ONE"

Going through all the posts, there is no difference in ideology between what the posters have written and what the Boko people have been doing.

What you people are saying the Army should do to the Boko people are what the terrorists have been doing.

Officially, war has commenced in the Nort-East. While this may be the last option available to our president, let us bear it in mind that BH is an amorphous entity that exists among innocent, hardworking and patriotic Nigerians, who in the main, constitute the bulk of the population in this areas. In as much as the cancerous Haramites need to be extirpated, the need for good intelligence gathering and a well ochestrated strike at the soul of this group cannot be over-emphasised. Let us take a cue from the American's expedition in Afghanistan where they eventually came to realise that killing the octopus- Al Qaeda- would not be achieved by gradually severing it's tentacles(various cells) but by decapitating it(killing Osama bin laden). This marked a remarkable drift in the tide of that campaign. This will profoundly reduce collateral damage i.e the killing of innocent men, women and children as well as shorten the period of engagement in our case. In the final analysis, we should not expose our rear for calls for genocide investigations. God bless Nigeria.

Most comments here are from Ibos and are quite typical and expected. Statements like " kill women and children, pregnant women" without bordering if they ar innocent just shows the typical selfish , hateful and unbalanced attitude of the people of the south east...no wonder the civil war and what heppened to them.

As soon as they got some power, they decided to invade the south west with lagos on their mind, starting from Ore, claiming they were the strongest army in Africa. well, the southwest people who were reluctant to join the war had to come out and Biafra became history

It can be said that Biafra might have succeeded if the ibos were less delusional, but alas its hardwired in their DNA and this is the reason why they will always lose out.

Coming to this subject, a discerning person will note the pattern of comments and see the easterners are taken it as a sectional issue ( as usual)instead of a security issue. some peeps are already praising Ihejirika ahead of the Army.

Hell yeah let Boko Haram be defeated by God's grace, but why wish for the total destruction of innocent people of the
North because they have terrorist amongst them? why pray for slaughter of babies and pregnant women? rape of young girls and women? because they are not Ibos?

Nemesis always catch up and what you wish for others will come back to haunt you ( as you caused before, following this same path)

My guy i assume you are Ibo but you will notice your opinion contradicts the majority of your people.

For well meaning Nigerians, please pray for the success of the military and also the safety of all innocents in this conflict. May God help us all
