MAI TATSINE, BOKO HARAM AND CAN: THE
BITTER TRUTH “Marwa Maitatsine, was a Christian until
his death!!
Back in 1954, there ware series of
meetings by the highest body of Christian
association in the northern Nigeria, in Jos,
which I happened to be the secretary, taking the minutes of that meeting (then, I
was an undergraduate student of Christian
Theology). Part of the result of that
meeting was, to sponsor some people
among ‘us’ to go to Arab countries as new
Muslim converts, and learn Arabic and Islam. Their mission is to come back to
Nigeria as Muslims clerics, use their Islamic
knowledge to preach violence, distort
original Islamic teachings and if possible
cause a riot in the North that will make
northern Nigeria a history. Five people were nominated for the job, and sent to
Sudan to start their mission. 3 of them
refused to come back and execute their
plan, but spent the rest of their lives in
Sudan as true Muslims. The remaining two;
Muhammad Marwa and Birema came back, Marwa was sent to Kano, and Birema was
sent to Niamey Niger Republic.”….Pro
fessor Dauda Ojobi

Professor Dauda Ojobi, a former secretary of Northern Christian Association of
Nigeria (CAN), a retired Professor in Benue
State University faculty of Law, the 3rd
Reverend Father from northern Nigeria,
after Paul Gindiri, and Ganaka, The first
Nigerian overseer of Baptist Church in Kaduna, and One time commissioner of
Justice in Bauchi State.

Mai Tatsine the obsolete version of Boko
Haram, which began their reign in late 50’s in Kano and some other parts of Northern
Nigeria, their ideologies were similar to
that of Boko Haram, they forbade what
Islam allowed, and allowed what Islam
made haram. They claimed western
education is sin, they rejected anything brought by technology, they were popular
with saying, wearing a wrist watch is
haram, using radios and television is
haram e.t.c. (considering the technological
advancement of that period). The spiritual
leader of Maitatsine movement was Muhammad Marwa a.k.a Mai Tatsine. The
Emir of Kano Sanusi, once suspected
Maitasine as fake Muslim when he
discovered Maitatsine received goods from
Vatican Palace. After sarki confirmed his
findings, he expelled Maitatsine out of Kano, in early 60’s. Mai Tatsine was later
brought back to Kano by Gov. Rimi in 1979.
Rimi believed that Maitatsine would help
him win his reelection through charm.
After the Maitatsine’s death, Shagari, the
then President set a Anya Goru panel to investigate the crises. Prof. Dauda has
made his submission in that panel, but
when the President, saw the report, he
said no, the white paper will not be issued
on this report, because it may result to
crises, so the white paper was not issued, till date.
Professor Dauda became Muslim in 1966,
after he came back from Rome, where he
went to further his studies, in Christian
Theology. He is still alive and has become a
Muslim preacher for over 40 years. What I quoted above was from his lecture I
attended in Bauchi, 2002.

-Ever since, no any Christian scholar or CAN
executive denied this statement from Prof. Dauda . Are they waiting for his death
before they deny it?
-Security operatives that always claim they
want uproot the Boko Haram mayhem did
not investigate in that angle, why?
-Why the relationship between Jerry Gana (CAN chieftain) and Muhammad Yusuf,
founder of Bokoharam? The former has
bailed the later from police custody several
times.
-I see a double standard approach and
hypocrisy by the security personnel, in the investigation.
-I began to believe Boko Haram is the
creation of some enemies of Islam possibly
CAN (not Christian), is never a creation of
Muslims.
-Remember, Hillary Clinton once said Taliban is their creation, to fight Russians. I beg your pardon, if this write up hurt you
in any form, it’s not intended, but facts
need to be set straight. I promised to
upload the audio lecture from the Prof.
Himself for your digestion
Umar Ibrahim Tafida.

LOL...Is this what muslims tell themselves now to feel good? Tomorrow we will hear that Shekau was the CAN president in 1987 and was sent to afghanistan so he can come back to cause trouble in the name of Islam.... Abegi, tell that to the heavenly virgins.

Keep deceiving yourself. Instead of you to solve your problems, you're holding others responsible for it. So it is the only two christian sponsored moslem clerics that now multiplied themselves and teaching violence throughout mosques in the north? You don't have to tell anyone that moslems throughout the world are intolerant of other religion. It's happening everywhere in islamic countries and where there are gullible bigots like the northern part of nigeria. A christian body promoting violence in the north is just not making any sense.

Don't you think that the substance of this report rather than indulgence. the professor who made this statement is still alive and now he is making a confession by himself of what really happened yet you guys deny. if you are from the south west of Nigeria you would have heard of Akewugbajesu meaning 'the Mallam who accepted christ'. this guy was sent and sponsored by by the CAN in the south west zone to learn about Islam and misinform the gullible Mulslims. it was only after he came back to Islam that he revealed the secrets. so dont just beg the issue let CAN speak.

1.Prof Ojobi could not have been a rev fr and Baptist pastor at the same time. If he was a Baptist pastor, he could not have gone to Rome to study theology as well.
2. Prof. Dauda did not say in which capacity he took the notes and under which umbrella since CAN did not exist before 1976. Who convened the meeting? It will help if he gives the names of those who attended the meting with him and also publish the notes he took. please tell him to name those who are alive and not dead ones. then we can ask them pointedly what they know. for the sake of national security, the prof., if he actually said these things being attributed to him, should speak loud and clear with evidence, do he can be taken seriously.
3. Please tell the good Prof. to tell us where the meeting took place and who presided over the meeting. Every fool can concoct anything and ask people to respond. where do you start from? I challenge the good prof. to answer to these queries.
4. The followers of the good prof should desist from concocting lies about his credentials. Paul Gindiri was an Evangelist, not a pastor, of ECWA. Ganaka was not the first or second pastor in Northern Nigeria. for example, Rtd Archbishop Peter Jatau of Kaduna ArchDiocese was ordained in 1963. Ganaka was ordained in 1965 and Bishop Aje, Rtd Bishop of Sokoto, was ordained in 1966. How can Prof. dauda be 3rd rev fr from northern Nigeria when in 1954, he was already an important person, taking notes of Christians meetings in Jos? Bishop Ganaka was only 17 years old then (he was born in 1937). He completed secondary school in 1957. so how come, he preceded prof Dauda in ordination, when as of 1954, prof. Dauda must have been old and significant enough to have not only been invited but to take notes at such important meetings of Christians in Jos. Which Christian denomination was Prof Dauda and when was he ordained? If he got converted in 1966, he may have been ordained before that for him to have been called upon to strategize at a Christian meeting. So when was he ordained?
5. CAN was founded in 1976. If Prof. Dauda got converted in 1966, how come he took minutes of a meeting organized by Christians, whom Umar is attributing to CAN. The meeting must have been before 1966, that is before CAN was formed. why would anyone ask CAN to respond to an issue that allegedly took place in 1954, 12 years before it was born?
6. There are over 100 references to CHURCH in the bible. All through you find Christ talking about His Church, and Paul and Peter in their writings as well. You see Church is NOT a building. It is the congregation of the faithful. It is NOT the equivalent of a mosque. Most muslims do not understand this concept. If the Prof. said what Umar attributes to him, then he MUST be a fake "former" pastor.
7. Please someone should tell the good prof to update his CV for all to see. The only references to him are those by fellow muslim followers. If he is a true prof. he mjust have published articles, which should have been on the internet.
8. Everyone knows that Maitatsine was uneducated in western education; and came to Kano in 1945 and started preaching Islam. so how come he attended a meting of Christians nearly 10 years after he came to Kano and was preachig Islam? Before then, where was he practising his Christianity and how come he was invited into such an important meeting of christians since he was uneducated and already a known Sheik in Kano by 1954? It will help if the listeners of the prof asked him to provide answer to such questions before they rush out to kill more Christians, thinking they had planned against them.
9. There are 1001 conspiracy theories; but this one takes the prize money. any fool can say anything and ascribe it to someone important. Look at the trend in Islamic radicalism around the world. Which Christians sent AlShabbab leaders to kill others? AlQaeda, Taliban, etc areChristians. Black september, etc. haba. Very soon someone will be telling us Bin Laden was a rev fr. who converted to islam just to give it a bad name...if the teller is a fool, the listeners may not all be fools
10.As long as moderate and good muslims subscribe to these unfounded conspiracy theories and instead of spaeking out against the culture of violence the the fringe muslims have undertaken around the world, violence will always be associated with Islam and muslims. The pity is that the so-called moderates are also afraid of their violent brothers and will always find excuses for them. Unfortunately, Sheik Shekau does not care whether you are muslim or not. Just don't be where he wants to kill people in the name if his religion.
11. there are too many inconsistencies in this story. Either Prof. Dauda lied or Umar Tafida lied about the good prof. either way, there are TOO MANY lies in this story that only the gullible will take seriously. Umar check your facts before you bombard the world with terrible ignorance.

The solution to the Maitatsine problem, is not by claiming that Religion based on imported Gods was intended for Africans to be a pure thing without fault.

The origin of the Maitatsine terrorism is a parallel reaction to Wahabism, the official and dominant sect in Saudi Arabia.
Wahabism is an alien importation to the Hejaz province (now part of today's Saudi Arabia).

Wahabism was spread through violence for several decades (1902-1932) as a tool by the Saudi Arabia’s ruling House of Saud to take over Arabia with the help of British military assistance and thereafter named the whole country after his own family, calling it the Kingdom of “Saudi” Arabia.
The British military officers/advisers included Sir Percy Cox, Captain Prideaux, Captain Shakespeare, Gertrude Bell(number 3 in the picture below), and Harry Saint John Philby (the so-called “Abdullah”)

Because Britain’s colonial strategy in the Arabian Peninsula at the beginning of the 20th century was quickly gearing towards the final and complete destruction of the Turkish Muslim Ottoman Empire the British decided to swiftly support the new Wahhabi Imam Abdulaziz (a.k.a “Ibn Saud”). Fortified with British support, money, and weapons, he was able in 1902 to capture Riyadh.

The point we should note is that Nigeria caught a virus from Arabia and our increased exposure through easier access to pilgrimages did not help matters.

Why are u trying so hard to put blame on others. I realise that is the new tactics Muslims have now taken they shift focus from them n try to blame Christians. When it is very clear how Muslims marginalise and kill Christians in the country, we saw how u all fought hard for goodluck to be removed and for buhari to be president, we can see how buhari is now allowing the killing of farmers and innocent people by herdsmen. Muslims even said that herdsmen were sponsored by CAN. Mind u Christianity is not political like Islam where you are taught how to conquer, kill, maim and dominate everywhere you go with ur disease. All your evil plans won't work we follow a living God not a dead God like you.
