How many ibos are in the north compared to other tribes in your region? Tell me...

There are more Hausas in the east than Ibos in the north. The yam sellers, tomato sellers, onions sellers, jewellery sellers, black market currency dealers, shoe makers/cobblers, mobile tailors, watch repairers, suya sellers, mobile textile sellers, etc. etc. in the east are all Hausas. They even have special settlements of their own and no one is bombing them. Get your facts right next time.

koruji: Look at you dancing in the street. We are all here as GEJ is practicing full blast tribal governance. The other day he said to Igbos visiting him in Aso Rock that even in the north they were the ones who put him in Aso Rock. All it means is that Nigeria need to search high and low for real leaders come 2015 - definitely not GEJ and perhaps not Buhari.

IS GEJ AN IGBO MAN?WHAT PART OF UR BODY DO U USE IN THINKING?I NEED TO KNOW AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

Just quote who said what instead of this rubbish "one of the leaders said" or " "a source said"...

Nigeria and their illiterate journalists.

I bet anything if u dig deep it'll be found out that, as usual, Buhari's words were taken totally out of context by some hungry journalist fed a few crumbs by the PDP then fueled on by the usual bigots and tribal G.I Joes.

2nd March 1984 – ITN NEWS
GENERAL BUHARI VISITS YOLA AFTER QUENCHING RELIGIOUS RIOTING THAT LEFT DOZENS DEAD.
Nigeria's military ruler, Major-General Mohamed Buhari, visited the northeastern Nigerian city of Yola - in Gongola state - February 29 to assess the extent of damage caused by violent communal rioting two days earlier.

The known death toll from the religious disturbances is nearly 140, with at least another 60 persons injured, some critically. Gongola's acting state governor, Colonel Cyril Iweze, blamed the turmoil on fanatical followers of Moslem fundamentalist Muhammadu Marwa Maitatsine's religious sect. Marwa himself was killed in vicious rioting three years ago, when an estimated 4,000 people died.

In disturbances on February 27, the army was eventually called in to quell resistance from thousands of religious fanatics, at least 715 of whom were arrested by security forces.

General Buhari visited the Yola Specialist Hospital during his one-day tour of the gutted city, and also met with the Lamido of Adamawa, Alhaji Mustapha Aliyu, to discuss the situation.

29th April 1985 - The NY Times
General Buhari Imposes Curfew To End Religious Riots

. .BAUCHI, Nigeria, April 28— A dusk-to-dawn curfew has been imposed on the northern Nigerian town of Gombe, where more than 100 people have died in religious riots, an official statement said today.

Officials said the deaths occurred in two days of fighting between the police and members of the banned fundamentalist Maitatsine Islamic sect.

The Bauchi state government said that anyone violating the curfew ''will be regarded as a fanatic and will be shot on sight.''

The statement said the situation in Gombe was under control and most members of the sect were fleeing the town. A total of 146 suspected members of the sect had been arrested, it added.

Shooting broke out at dawn on Friday when the police tried to arrest Yusufu Adamu, the sect's leader in Gombe. Officials said nothing had been heard of him since, and it was unclear whether he was among those killed.

The initial police action cleared the sect out of its stronghold, but Nigerian television said many more lives were lost that night when the sect killed local people they had taken hostage.

jjcbuthot:

Think straight man... Has Buhari said Jonathan should not do anything about boko haram? The only disagreement here is method.

Did you or anybody from here support Odi invasion by soldiers? So, we can also say you are tribalistic because you opposed Odi invasion?

No leader of a people will support this until after all other avenues have been explored without success. The impact of this on innocent civilians is the key issue here. Are you saying all those guys killed in Baga are all boko haram members? Even 20% of them are not boko haram. We killed over 200 souls because of less than 20 criminals among them.

Intelligence gathering is what is required to uproot boko haram. Killing the foot soldiers without apprehending their leaders and sponsors is a waste of both human and material resources.

GEJ once mentioned he knew the sponsors... Why didnt he start from there instead of endangering the life of innocent civilians?

What other options are you refering to? Ain't you aware of all the tactics employed already? From begging to offering Amnesty (which was ridicled).
I encourage you to go up the ladder of the govt's moves in tackling the boko issue. Then come back and let us know other possible routes that can be explored.

i have this for mr. buhari:

Proverbs 13:3
(BBE) He who keeps a watch on his mouth keeps his life; but he whose lips are open wide will have destruction.
(GNB) Be careful what you say and protect your life. A careless talker destroys himself.
(MKJV) He who keeps his mouth keeps his life; he who opens his lips wide, it is ruin to him.

Proverbs 18:6
(BBE) A foolish man's lips are a cause of fighting, and his mouth makes him open to blows.
(CEV) Foolish talk will get you into a lot of trouble.
(GW) By talking, a fool gets into an argument, and his mouth invites a beating.

Proverbs 15:2
(CEV) Words of wisdom come from the wise, but fools speak foolishness.
(GNB) When wise people speak, they make knowledge attractive, but stupid people spout nonsense.
