Danhumprey: Just becos Victor Moses and Emmanuel Emenike are not on the list doesn't mean we can't do well. Let's trust our players. By the way,Moses and Emenike were unsound heroes until they were given a chance by Keshi to show their worth. Let's also trust these players. I see the going place. GOD help us.
GBAM! My point exactly..cos Emenike was did well in d last tournament doesn't make him d only n best striker Nigeria av..players comes n go,let's wait to see what dis guys av to ofa

We just have to wish all of them good luck.when is nigerian playing there first game.and time
Re: Super Eagles FIFA Confederations Cup Squad! by Afam4eva(m): 10:49pm On Jun 07, 2013
We currently don't have a striker as good as Emenike in our squad but the good thing is that our midfielders are up and doing and we can get the job done with average strikers.

Team Nigeria, you're representing all Africa in this Confederations Cup. I know you'll embarrass us, but try not to embarrass us too much in front of the world.

CFCfan:

Nah, the players have enough quality to stand toe-to-toe against any opposition.

Anyway, the main goal is qualifying and getting to d knockout stages of next year's world cup.
Reaching the Confed cup final, and crashing out of the group stage/not qualifying will be a bitter pill to swallow.
the super eagle team may have enough quality to stand toe to toe against their opposition as you truely said but not onto their boss (Uruguay and Spain).

Anichebe would have been a good replacement for Emenike. He has power just like Emenike. I wonder why they don't want to invite him. That guy is really patriotic.

CFCfan: With this team, I believe the SE can get at least, 5 points in the group, and advance to d semifinals.
However, the more important goal is qualification for next year's world cup. If Naija wins d Confed cup, but fails to make it to the world cup; that will be disastrous.
Actually, I'll be disappointed if we finish the group stage with 5 points. I'm expecting 7 points from the eagles.

We were able to get a draw against catalonia. And there is nothing to fear about uruguay., not after their dismal performance against Ghana in 2010 world cup.

Tahiti will certainly be a work over. I expect Keshi to reserve players like Mikel, Onazi and Ideye in the first game so they can be very fit for the game against spain.

Anichebe said last week, that he wants to focus on his Everton career for now. As for Joel Obi, I think this tournament comes too soon for him. As u said, he is just recovered from injury.

The "La Roja" (Spain) squad is the best squad so far. But as we have seen before, having the best team doesn't equal success.
Argentina and France (2002 and 2006world cup), Nigeria (2000 AFCON), Brazil (2006 world cup) etc are examples of my assertion.

Is Oceania not the same as the Australian continent? It's not a competitive region jare. They should be merged with another region.
