Start by eliminating the probable cause.

I realise nissan vehicle are very sensitive. first thing first, wash the fuel filter, and clean the injector.
Check that mechanic have not cut wires and join at different locations

Then change the cam position sensor to be sure you having proper reading. You'll be shock that all these codes are linked.

Thanks so much sir.. Will do that right away.. please do you have any sure auto person in Ibadan that can help out please

nope, i am just a New guy to Nissan and as a technician. I know what to look for. My best advice is to know what you need to do and how to do it. Take it to a mechanic. Tell them what you want and supervise them while they do it for you.

Not necessary. Not all technicians will like this. He won’t like it when he’s doing his own professional job and someone is supervising him. It makes it looks like he doesn’t know what he’s doing. Except he’s dealing with someone of questionable character.

The business relationship between a customer and a workman is to have his car fixed and not to be tutored on what is what. If a customer wants to learn, he/she should go online or to an institution created for such.

is the fuel coming from under the vehicle?

Try removing your back seat and check if you notice any leak there

Good evening bro. Is there a way I can reach you? I need your help with my G35 please.

Car won’t start. Park light on the dashboard will not even show. I was told it’s the TCM/Valve body. One said it’s the Brainbox.

Hello everyone. I initially created a thread but it seems the Nissan specialists on NL didn't see it.

I recently got a 2004 Nigeria used Nissan Xterra with overheating issues. I worked on the engine and replaced the radiator and now no more overheating.

However now I'm having the following issues:
1. The car slows to almost a stop when going uphill
2. The shifting is sluggish. I almost have to floor the throttle to accelerate but the engine just makes more noise without any corresponding acceleration, and then it switches gear suddenly with a jerk and accelerates
3. There are at least 3 disconnected plugs in the engine wiring which makes me think a wiring harness for a different vehicle was used. How do I fix it?
4. I'm getting p0031, p0051 and p0057 error codes
5. I don't know if it's an issue but the radiator fan was fixed permanently to the engine by the previous owner

How do I fix the above problems? And how much should I budget? The vehicle is around ogba Lagos.

The pictures are the disconnected plugs and mismatched connectors I can see on the engine. It's a VG33E engine. Thanks

Used in Nigeria nonetheless.

Engine oil - continue with 20W-50 preferably Mobil XHP (buy only from the filling station).

Gear Oil - Liqui Moly Top Tec 1200 preferred or any good Dexron III brand

My Nissan Altima 2005 had a wire issues. It refused starring or even kicking. A Rewire said its a brainbox issue. I had to buy another one and still same thing. Towed it down to Ibadan where I base. Another Rewire came on board and got it to start with my old brainbox.

Currently, it does not raise, while started.

What could be the issue and can I get a good Rewire in Ibadan, that can help fix?

Trial and error will only sap your pocket. Do the needful by running a scan for error codes.

Good afternoon,
Who knows why a Nissan Pathfinder always displays red keylight on the dashboard sometimes, especially in the morning .. A Rewire personnel reprogrammed it several times with his machine but it keeps occurring. , the Rewire also changed the pcm but it was thesame issue.

Once that keylight displays, the car doesn’t start until we wait for hours before it disappears, or sometimes we remove the battery head.

check your transponder, there might be issues with your key. Stop placing your keys on speakers or near where electrical appliances with electromagnet can affect the keys. Take it to someone who can program your keys

Pls I need an urgent assistance. I drive a Pathfinder 2006 SE, The engine of the car was changed. The major issue now is that when I drive the car for a very long time and the engine becomes hot and after sometimes, no matter how you fire the car, the car will be lagging and when you switch the car off, it will not start immediately until maybe you remove the battery head or leave it for hours, it will then start again and begin to work fine and move normal again. I tried to scan it but nothing came up. Almost all the lights on the dash board is ON.

You need to SCAN the car for error codes. You will end up spending a lot of money if you go the trial by error route.

Failing crankshaft position sensors usually give these symptoms.

mechanic may have messed up with your wires, one thing i know for sure about nissan is that clogged fuel filters can give you that lagging effect, bad oxygen sensor. Since you cannot read any code. Kindly unplugged the 4 O2 sensors, change of wash the fuel filters, make sure there is no air leak from the intake manifold. Try driving and Tell us your experience then we can move from there.

Was this issue present with the old engine before replacement?
Confirm if your harness and censors where not tampered with while installing the new engine.
But before you jump into replacing any parts, you'll need to perform a comprehensive diagnosis on the car which includes but not limited to scanning with a professional scanner.
Remote diagnosis would be difficult if your harness has been botched.

Does the car run fine with no indicator display?

If yes, probably a burnt bulb.

If no, check for a burnt AT fuse in the IPDM housing behind the battery.

Many thanks for your response.

Yes, the car runs fine. May I add that the display unit does not come on as well but the radio, Bluetooth and other function works well.

After another scan with another machine, I got a U1000 error message.
