otokx: I knew Brazil will win but not by this margin, did not bother watching the match. Spain needs to put their house in order especially their defence.

You are not yet a champion until you beat the real king of football, Brazil.

Brazil may fumble in their continental (countries as small as EEcuador, Peru beat them - and as you all can see, their continental. Bnmrival, Uruguay gave them the toughest challenge in this tournament), but they are a different team entirely when they get to world stage.

They even came to this competition as hosts, just as they struggled to qualify for 2002 WC, only tto win.

If it was Nigeria, the fans would be calling for the return of Raul after this match. SMH for my people.

kobonaire: football experts, please explain this to me. How was the Neymar's goal not ruled offside? He was in an Offside position initially and then came back onside but still per my understanding of the rules cannot be the first to receive the ball from his teammate right? Or am I misunderstanding the rule here, please educate me. Thanks

As long as you return in line with the last defender before the pass is made. Neymar did this.

PEOPLE HATE WHAT THEY CAN'T CONQUER,
HATE WHAT THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND.

Are you kidding? Tiki taka has being whooped over and over again.
Remember Barca against Bayern, AC Milan and even Madrid, PSG, Celtic, Inter, Chelsea? And this match also. The match against Nigeria, Italy (Confed 2013) they were not spectacular at all, the opposition didn't have good goal scorers. How about against Portugal (In Euro 2012) and Netherlands (WC 2010 final)?

Spain has dominated world football in recent years and played a new style of football (pressing), but Samba rules! It's being tested and tried for decades.

haha...

this is the last tournamet they needed to tie the treble

continental, world and confederate just like brazil in 2005

mama-gee:

Believe me they looked like they wanted to win this tournament until they played the semis. . .grin grin

The players probably felt that the physical and mental anguish didn't fit the honor and so didn't take it seriously afterwards. grin grin

That's just my opinion though

Second is not that bad. Brazil didn't win the Copa America, that didn't mean they are bad.
I have been following your comments on sports matters, I must say you understand football more than most of pple here who talks shit ........ Sum will sing praises now abt a team , next minute dey say the team is bad, regarding the game.... Physical approach to tika tika team like spain make dem lose depth , looking at the game brazil were more compacted ... Neutralised the Spanish final third ..... Spain is a world class just need more tech approach to their game cos pple are ready to run and use their energy to win the ball back

they will have beaten brazil france 98 but they cracked

I know but they're always a joy to watch.

I love their style of football and I've always been a Dutch fan, since when Ajax reigned supreme in Europe.

But they're perennial underachievers.

Dont think Brazil can make it to the top 5 any soon. Check their points and not just their position.

Rossikk: Super Eagles Team C must take the credit for demystifying Spain before the world.

Since that game, no team plays Spain with fear anymore.

That was a super eagles game. But the lacked good finishers.

Brazil dominated that game , they were more willing to get stuck into challenges without necessarily fouling the opponent.
And they had the flair of neymar, Fred a sharp point man, hulk and paulhinho were carving up the opposition with through passes and the lads at the back were solid. They were very simple but extremely effective.

The rate at which people change their tongue & support amazes me, who say's a team will always continue to win; Spain & Barca have dominated the world of soccer for a period now with a fluid style of football that is admirable to watch.

It is most certain that coaches and teams all-over the world will look out to find flaws and areas to exploit this system" tikitaki" and find ways to annihilate it " Bayern,Madrid " not Chelsea;

It takes a whole lot of courage, tact, discipline, focus to have achieved what Pep, & De Bosque have achieved with these 2 teams, and you must give it to them.

This tread has been polluted with comments that is ignorant of the fact that it takes serious, great effort to remain at the top, and teams who have done so " Not Chelsea" have to be applauded even in defeat.

I commend the Spanish & Barca team for giving the world of football a challenge never seen for a while, these Lamasia boys " Messi, Pedro, Xavi, Iniesta,Pique,Bausquet, thiago, Tello, and others gave the so called big spending, oil Mogul Club a thing to think about , they completely changed the History book and chemistry of football and almost ran some into insanity just to find a formula to win " JM"

Spain did not have it good for years, but through careful work and training changed every thing for them selves to become number one, not just that but consistent in that matter.

These guys are humans and not machines they will definitely get tired.....but still they are champions even in defeat, so please " Hate with a little bit sanity.

@@@@

now before they run these page to the end of the world ; i gat to tell them so called football analyst wat the hate to hear

let get some fact out now!

Spain will always find it very difficult to beat Nigeria

Spain is still a good team

Nigeria should have beaten Spain if all the chance were taken

with the way eagle play now no team in this world will have it easy NO team i repeat

Eagle can beat anybody when they get it right; so pass that to ur mallam in nff

Brazil with all the noise arent quite there yet; do u know their people never believe their team will go this far! all of a sudden they are switching around like typical naijas

From now on Spain might change the way they play football; i mean team like Nigeria will start to get respect! gbam; no more business as usual

Brazil will not have it easy at world cup; that home crowd aint gona have it easy like they did

most of their spirit come from the home crowd anyway

Thaiti make our group so easy to decide; if it were a stronger team maybe things could have be very easy

so wat all these noise about how good Brazil were!

people are over estimating them

can u now see how good eagle were that even the BBC commentaries couldnt believe the eagles were pressing the euro world champions as they did
