PDP was never in charge in the Southwest. They stole AD's mandate by trick under OBJ, by cajoling them to adopt OBJ as joint presidential candidate, while scheduling both gubernatorial and presidential elections together. Voters eventually elected both OBJ and PDP's governors by proxy in confusion during thumbprinting.

The rest is now history, how PDP governors misruled and misbehaved before they were voted out one after the other.

It is however a joke to hear them talk of "re-dominating". How that will be done, with their reputation waning everyday is mysterious to imagine. Especially with their clueless president - who is on his way out, having only the South-South and Southeast as the only remaining base out of 6 zones in the country.

Worse still, they lack any personalty with charisma or credibility to sway people to vote for in all of Yoruba speaking states.

Day dreaming, We are wise now in Southwest not like what happen in 2003 when we Adopt OBJ and the election was schedule to hold same and poor mases did not understand what AD then were campaigning for. But look at what happen in 2007 and 2011 then you will know South West we are wiser now.

Dead criminal party... PDP will never rise again in South West.

PDP should focus it attention on those lands where fraud strives and criminality is the order of the day - SE.

PDP SHOULD PLEASE SHIW US WHAT THEIR MAINFESTO IS FOR OSUN AND EKITI STATES.

THE PEOPLE SHOULD SIMPLY ASK THEM FOR THAT. IT SHOULD NOT BE EMPTY TALK ONLY.

Amidst the growing clamour for change in Osun State`s governance, Youthful Wale Alakinde has indicated interest to run for the governorship position come next year`s election. His youthful look and calm disposition contradicts his fierce commitment to his political aspiration. A chartered accountant by training, Wale sits atop several blue chip companies with core professional competence in provision of management consultancy as well as oil and gas services.

Describing the political and governance situation in Osun State presently, Alakinde stated that “I strongly feel there are still lots of issues yet to be addressed. On the whole, I feel our people are not satisfied with the present administration because they feel the present administration in Osun State have only been doing media governance; claiming what is not. Giving the public an impression of what is not happening and this is what the present administration in Osun State has been doing since its inception over two years ago. Infact, I don't see this present administration taking Osun State anywhere”.

Continuing, Alakinde stated that “we need to find a way out of this scripted governance. I mean policies that guarantee better opportunities. A strategic engagement of the people in all ramifications. For instance, the Geology graduate employed to sweep the street should have been engaged to conduct a feasibility research on the deposit volume of gold in Osun State. I am not sure you are aware that Osun State boasts of the largest deposit of gold along the West African coast; contrary to the general belief that Ghana has the largest deposit”.

On his campaign agenda, Alakinde explained that “we have a `3-Point Agenda`. Firstly, we will address the socio-economic development challenges in the area of health, education, rural electrification and water. Secondly, we will give attention to infrastructural facilities especially roads and housing while our priority will also be for the youth empowerment drive. We are passionately committed to providing a constructive engagement for the Osun youths that won`t make them tools for the devil. We will partner with organizations to come with employment and empowerment opportunities. For the records, no single indigenous contractor has been considered for contract award in the state since the beginning of this present administration.
