McLuhan: It amazes me that people still have time for such frivolities as the BBA show. Perhaps it is merely a testimony to our hedonistic tendencies. In any case, I consider it highly harmful to public morality, especially to the sensibilities of the young and impressionable segments of our society. I doubt that such programmes serve any useful purpose, other than perhaps to gratify the voyeuristic yearnings of society's amoral and intellectually vacuous class of debauchees. The sooner such shows are banned the better!

henribj: did she actually have sex in public? i did not watch that part in the show, but i think the sex was in the room, and under the covers, because BBA decided to televise it and were able to see them having sex because of Infrared technology or whatever, does it mean the girl should be punished? Sincerely, I don't think what she did amounted to public exposure of private part. She exposed her private part in a room. It's a show in which you have to pay to get access tot he channel and you have to indicate interest before your decoder is allowed to view the channel. There are enough restrictions to prevent anyone from going to see.

chicbenita: An Ethiopian website is reporting that a group of lawyers in Addis Ababa has finalized its plans to sue Big Brother Africa’s 2013 contestant, Betty Abera for having s^x in public.

According to a local radio show, Ethiopikalink, if she is convicted, Betty could potentially face up to six years behind bars.
Ethiopia’s Betty and Sierra Leon’s Bolt became the first couple to engage in a “s^x act” in 2013′s Big Brother Africa.
