this battle has entered one chance. Ameachi is fighting for his political survival. Any surrender by him and wike wins. Ameachi's plan was simple, he says ikwerres have ruled rivers state for a long time and time to give others a chance, so he picked magnus abe, whi is currently a senator. The plan was in 2015, abe becomes governor, ameachi takes over his senate seat. But wike wants to be governor. So he is the one behind all this, he has made jonathan belive ameachi is a threat to him. All this he is doing to make ameachi politically redundant in rivers state. And he is doing magnificently well because this current rivers PDP will never accept ameachi's candidacy for senate or abe as governor.

All the states above are bokoharam infested. Heck one of them is currently under state of emergency. Yet they leave their states and come to interfere in a fight that is not theirs. He whose house is on fire does not chase rats.

if these guys know what is good for them, they should stay away from Niger delta, I know them very well, they are not gentleman at all, as you saw from the house fracas video, if their elected members can fight like that, talkless of their ordinary citizens they are all tigers, those fueling this better be warned.

The Niger delta people are tough nuts to crack oo, they were toughened as a result of hardship metted out to them for more than 3 decades of neglect by successive governments, they even began to enjoy and taste their oil money a bit from commencement of democracy during 1999, when they started receiving 13percent derivation. I can vividly remeber that a place like the whole of Bayelsa state was not connected to Nepa's national grid until sometime after 1999, there were no roads as in zero roads, infact zero underdevelopment. I remeber when I followed one of my bossom friend to Bayelsa then, my heart bled for the kind of under development I saw, while this was the same place where oil that sustains Nigeria was gotten from, it was terrible.

That is why those fueling this crisis from outside should be cautioned, Amechi is a lone wolf in the entire Niger delta, if his people cook for him, he cannot finish it, and if care is not taken, this crisis may engulf this entire country.

mikegbali: Four northern governors were stoned at the Port Harcourt International Airport as they arrived the state capital for a solidarity visit on the governor, Rotimi Amaechi.

Also stoned was Nobel Laureate, Wole Soyinka who was also visiting the state for the umpteenth time. Incidentally, Soyinka has been a very frequent visitor to Rivers State in the recent past.

The youths who came together under the Grassroots Development Initiative (GDI) may have laid ambush for the convoy and started raining stones on the convoy as they were to move out of the airport vicinity.

The affected governors are those of Niger, Babangida Aliyu, Adamawa State, Murtala Nyako, Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso and Jigawa State, Sule Lamido.

A member of the GDI said the youths were angry that the governors, like the others who have been visiting the state since the crisis started, were coming to take away the state’s money that would have been used for development.

According to him, the youths were also angry that Soyinka was becoming a regular guest in the state. Only recently, Soyinka was quoted as saying that the president should be held responsible if anything happened to Amaechi.

The youths said Soyinka’s frequent visits were suspicious, hence their reaction, which they said would stop more people from coming on similar visits.
