Sometime ago I started a thread on the most failed profession in Nigeria, and at the end Engineers and Lawyers carried the day. Supporters Engineers brought the argument that, Nigerian Government do not support or encourage invention or innovations. Some agreed with their point, but for the lawyers, no case, they are the number one most failed profession in this country.
We have millions of law graduates, barristers and sans , still we have broad day robbery, abuse of power and corruptions from our leaders with clear evidence, yet nobody is being sued to court.
But recently, I am beginning to see hope in the law profession in someone who has distinguish himself, he knows the law, he is fearless , he is vibrant, he is young, he is an activist and he isn’t scared of challenging any authority in this country.
During the Abacha regime, he and Gani of blessed memory, fought the military govt. he troubled Dimeji Bankole, he has dragged the Nigerian Army and the federal govt to court taking over large expanses of land belonging to ordinary Nigerian , he has single handedly won a case in favour of his local govt area against NPC, he has recently opened the eyes of our so called distinguished senators to the powers they have in the appointment of service chiefs and he is also the counsel to EFCC. He is no other person than BARR. FESTUS KEYAMO [the omo ro ko baro of Uvwie kingdom]. He is a DELTAN , an Uvwie man for that matter. I am proud of him. HE HAS COME HOME, DELTANS WATCH OUT FOR HIM

I believe if we have at list 36 keyamos spread across the country, every public officer will sit up and up and doing. How i wish we have more dogged lawyers in our county.

LET ME EDUCATE U MORE, KEYAMO IS A VOICE THAT IS GRADUALLY REPLACING GANI'S WHENEVRE HE SPEAKS FG TREMBLE IN FEAR, HE HAS BEEN IN THE STRUGGLE SINCE THE DAYS OF ABACHA, HE RECENTLY WON THE CASE OF REMOVING THE POWER OF THE PRESIDENCY TO APPOINT SERVICE CHIEFS WITHOUT PASSING THROUGH THE SENATE. Festus keyamo is more of National figure than Grassroot. I will suggest he should do more home work in grassroot politics to gain more awareness in his state. For instance, Gani Faweyinmi (of blessed memory) was totally a National figure and he didn't do much politics within Ondo people. Festus Keyamo should go and work more and gain popularity in Delta state. He is a good man and he will get support. I will him all the best...

Broda, grassroot work is ongoing, he has been holding town hall meetings in various local govts in delta state. Although more work needs to be done, thats why we need pple like u who knws keyamo as a good crusader of anticorruptn to join dfu.
