Go easy on the mic, MOG, for the tightrope between activism and sedition is one you appear to be dangling precariously from.

For Pastor Bakare's information the senate never had any resolution on child marriage. He should check his facts first before him organise protest o

@Okija Juju et al, how can you blame pastor Bakare for the abrupt end of the Occupy Nigeria protests? Was it not your labour leaders that betrayed us? Pastor Bakare was there at Ojota the Friday of that protest week saying the FG must revert to the old pump price or nothing, and yet that evening labour leaders Omar and Esele announced the "suspension" of the strike because the Jonathan govt. had agreed to N97 per litre of petrol. The NLC thought it was going to be the usual strike-for-3 days-and-bargain-to-get-some-Ghana must go bags protest. They did not expect pastor Bakare would organise the protests as properly as he did.

Pastor Bakare has proven over again as a hard liner on national issues that bothered on perceived injustice on the ppl. His role at the subsidy fraud instituted by the fg quickly comes to mind, a man that nationalism and patriotism runs in his vain. Little wondered, he teamed up with Buhari, a disciplinarian, a detribalised man (irrespective of the propagandas) to redeem this nation from the murderors clutches of those who have sworn to keep us in perpetual penury. Unfortunately, some will rather read ethnicity and religion into it. We must align with this move among other things to press home our demands.

[b]It was obvious to everyone around the country that the NLC guys were compromised.. Bakare didnt come out the following day to continue the protest. Infact, immediately the Army came out of the barracks, the 'leaders' ran to their houses. Bakare and co used us during that protest for selfish gains.. To increase their popularity.

Tell Bakare that we, the ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIAN PROTESTERS, RALLIERS, RIOTERS AND REBELS make the following demand before mobilizing into the streets;

1. We must be paid for our services;
- Normal protest (No violence) = 100,000 Naira each/day.
- Angry protest (Destruction and carnage) = 250,000 each/day.
- We must get subsidized food & refreshments during the protest for protesters.
- Free T-Shirt for all the protesters.
- Bulletproof vest and Helmet for all protesters.
- Ballistic shield for protesters.
- Face mask for teargas for all protesters.
- 2 40ft containers of tear gas must be provided for us.

2. Insurance (life assurance policy) of atleast 10million Naira against death must be provided for us.

3. 1 plot of land for each Protester in any state of their choice.

4. 1 Kia car for all junior staff protesters & 1 German SUV for all Senior Staff protesters.

5. 100 Million Naira deposited in Firstbank to be used to bail our members from Police custody, bury the dead ones and other such costs associated with the protest.

If he agrees, we can even capture Tambruwal, Yerima, David Mark and PEJ and deliver them to his church or house by tomorrow evening..

I don't think this dude even knows what he's talking about...
what "immoral" amendment was done??
The vote was NOT on legalisation of child marriage, but granting of a certain privilege to already married but under-18 girls. under-18 teens all over the World are allowed to marry under stringent conditions... (including being pregnant for a fellow minor who she intends to marry and parental consent).....

I disagree. NLC compromised. Not groups like Save Nigeria Group. i was in their protest when the Cabal refused to swear-in Jona, and i saw the pressure it generated. Even a representative of the government came to address people. it was peaceful and organised. A time will come when even NLC will be totally ignored. We know our enemies.

While this is good it would have been better if the pastor mobilised against the National Assembly's illegitimate salary and allowances of up to N=29 million per month for SINators.

Our legisLOOTERs receive more in a month than UK law makers earn in a year YET we are going for prayers and fasting just to go to UK and be under-employed while consoling ourselves that we are in diaspora
.
Self deception of the highest order!!!

MAYOWAAK:

In his reaction, Serving Overseer, The Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare, threatens to mobilise Nigerians to storm the National Assembly if the controversial resolution of the Senate on child marriage is not reversed immediately.

Bakare, who spoke in his Sermon, Separation is Inevitable, in his church in Ogba, Lagos, on Sunday, believes the federal lawmakers have lost all moral grounds to make rational laws for the country.

Bakare, who is also the Convener of Save Nigeria Group, also challenged the lawmakers to name any of their children, who has been given out in marriage at the age of 13, wondering what could have motivated the Senators to propose such “immoral amendment.”

“Yerima has polluted the Senate and his colleagues have joined him to tell us that what we have in the National Assembly are pedophiles. The Senators must come out to tell us how many of them have married out their 13-year-old girls. Why should any sane person be legislating on how a 13-year-old should be married out in this age when such children should be in school?

“I want to call on the House of Representatives and state Houses of Assembly to reject this clause completely. I also want the Senators to know that I will mobilise Nigerians and we are going to storm the National Assembly if this evil clause is not expunged from the constitution immediately. A constitution that cannot be bent will break.”

Bakare also led his congregation to pray against what he described as the “insatiable sexual appetite” of the lawmakers, calling on God to “dry up their uncontrollable libido.”

The notorious senator(?) has again championed the use of the loins rather than the brains in tackling national problems. With support of like depraved elements in the senate they seek to smuggle a child abuse law into the nation's law books. It will not stand!

Shey on stage!!!

His family posed with them Banky W and co, snapped picture and left abi!!

I didnt see them the day after NLC was bribed and the Soldiers entered the street.

I didnt see Bakare, his wife nor his 5 children when we were defying the Police, being peppered with teargas, being arrested and killed.

Whilst himself, Soyinka and other Politicians and celebrities used the protest to further their careers, the real Nigerians were dying on the streets. Or have you forgotten that Nigerians lost their lives during that campaign..

My borther... Let Them go and Protest!! The rest of us protesters are either too injured or have collected amnesty!!

We shall no longer be used as pawns in the hands of all these politicians..
