Nah dude look at the 50+ man tactical team of Iraqi Soldiers who were trained in the U.S they were suppose to be the best thing ever and they were torn apart on their first mission.

The American style of fighting and training rarely works for other people.

When you allow Americans to help you build up an entire unit or battalion from the ground up it tends to be disastrous.
Even if you were trained by the Russians, South Africans, British, Chinese etc you'll still get your back kicked.

SA trainers and contractors have trained many units around Africa some due organizational weakness never fight well while some with support fight well.

MikeCZAR:
The photographed air defence system is designed to protect forces, resources and installations against low flying aircraft, cruise missiles, UAVs etc

The houthies are unknown to posses and have used tactical ballistic missiles I suspect that system was deployed to counter this and other rocket threats.

Also remember the rebels might be commanded and offered tactical advice by the Iranians, meaning the tactical ballistic missiles might be more accurate in hitting and failing near targets.
most likely they are going to use those 30 mm autocannon to direct attack enemies targets

Expensive ammo.

Also it isn't suitable for that role it presents a huge target. Can easily be knocked out.

i saw those drones on CCTV yeaterday. They look very much like the american and isreali drones. It can stay up to 30 hrs in the sky. That would be a good asset for the NAF.

In my opinion, we already fly multiple types of drones, we do not need more, until we have ordered proper 4 GEN or 4.5GEN Jets.

We are beyond due.

4 GEN : MIG-29, SU-30, JF-17, J-10, Gripen C/D, F-16 Block 10 -40

4.5 GEN or 4 ++ GEN : MIG-29K, MIG-29smt, MIG-35, SU-30SM, SU-30M2, SU-35, J-10B, F-16 Block 52 - Block 60, Eurofighter Typhoon, Rafale.

The main difference is in electronics, and the fact that all 4.5/ 4++ GEN Fighters come with powerful AESA Radar.

Some of the others are, improved stealth features, Hardpoints, TARD systems, improved seamless communications between different platforms.

Nigerian Air Force MIG-17

Nigerian Air Force MIG-17s entered Nigerian Air Force service in 1967 following multiple attacks by Biafran Fighter Aircrafts on Nigerian Army positions.

NAF MIG-17s also saw extensive actions in Angola and Congo.

i have issues with russian and chinese jet due effectiveness to carry out precision bombing, even thou i have seen videos and read articles about both russian and chinese GPS and laser bombs development.non of the nations which buy their jets even the latest 4 generation have being know to carry out precision bomb, most just use dumb bombs considering that most countries e.g egypt, morocco, saudi,UAE,pakistan e.t.c are know to use western precision bombs quiet effectively.is it due to cost or quality considering that india has test an indian made generic GBU family kit called Sudarshan laser-guided bomb on its SU-30 jets https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sudarshan_laser-guided_bomb also pakistan is know to deploy GBU family of laser bomb on its china made F-7 jet most likely designated by F-16 using sniper pods which they have
