Yeye...,na political move. 2015! I pray PdP take over Lagos 2015, we need fresh air in Lagos not tool gates, molestation of destitute and deportation of Nigerian in Nigeria |

A-town: Fashola and Tinubu are just playing Lagosians. They want to quickly recover all the money on that road because if a new party takes over in 2015 which is most likely, they will lose. 1 Like |

This has to go down as one of the smoothest crimes against Lagosians. First they tried to screw Lagosians with tolls and now because the rouges were surprised by public outcry, they've resorted to using borrowed funds to screw Lagosians. Guess who pays back the loans. The real criminals will be revealed when the names of the real consession owners are revealed. I guarantee you that the list will contain the usual suspects. SMH |

software man: This comment by software man got 8 likes as at the time of my post. What's astonishing about it is how obscenely absurd it is. If IGR increased 200% per year for years as he claims, that's a rise of four million, seven hundred and eighty thousand, eight hundred and sixty nine times what IGR was before the first year. I have to ask, why would someone tell such a crazy lie and why would as many as 8 people, presumably all educated, click on the like button? If IGR was, say just 100 million Naira in 1999. An increase of 200% per year will yield 478 trillion Naira today. What does it say about us, our intellect and values, that we can't have a proper debate without each person seeking to tell the most outrageous lie? Incidentally, the person softwareman was replying to claimed Lagos has spent 500 billion Naira every year! 5 Likes |

4 Play:they liked it because the comment is in support of fashola and his rogue master nairaland is littered with illiterates who cant think or reason on their own, that is why majority of them are easily brainwashed by fashola and his progressives. It took RCC less than 2 years to reconstruct the ore-benin express road but is taking HI Tech more than 6 year to reconstruct a 50km road..it shows that its the money they generate from the toll that they are using to reconstruct that road and also fund their so called lekki hanging bridge... 1 Like |

t-something: your calculation is hilarious and ludicrous. .. a million passages per day. I wont even try to argue with you, cause, I really don't think its worth it. software man: Thank you very much chief. your comment is the most reasonable one here. All we have on this thread are a bunch of silly and ignorant peeps speculating about a concession agreement that they don't even know the content. Some people don't even know that LCC means lekki concession company and not construction company, some don't even know what a buyback means. Just like the guy that you have been arguing with, Without any form of traffic count, he came up with that absurd calculation. But the totality of the blame does not fall on those arguing blindly. The thing is, our leaders are also to blame, cos, there is a level of corruption, that makes all acts of governance seem like fraud, and I believe that we have attained that level. |

dartsidius7: Perhaps you didn't look well you would have seen I used 500, 000 cars and not a million as you speculated. However let's just say I am wrong, please give us a conservative traffic count that we can use in this analysis . Its a public forum where we debate ideas not a motor park where people throw insults . I await your own conservative traffic count. Thanks |

Quite confusing I think - how can LCC continue to operate 'commercially' if it can't increase the tolls to meet its needs? Does that mean LASG will meet the shortfall between the toll-generated funds and the expenditure requirements from other budgetary funds? If so, what areas of government expenditure will suffer in order for the road to be built? |

LASG forms LCC, then turns around to buy the same company back at an exorbitant fee. What a strange country |
