One night akpos was quietly sitting alone at a bar about to drink his beer when ojukwu- a huge truck driver- suddenly sits by his side, takes the beer mug from akpos’s hand and drinks the whole thing in one gulp.
Without further ado akpos breaks down into tears.
Totally shocked and feeling sorry for the miserable little guy, ojukwu says ‘Guy am sorry for drinking your beer. I dint know it meant that much to you. Tell you what, why don’t i get you another beer?’
‘And to this akpos replies. ‘No you don’t understand. My day has just been disastrous.
First of all i received a phone call from my boss telling me i was fired.
Naturally i got dressed, got into my car and immediately set off for work (hoping i could still to redeem my job)
On my way to work, i accidently ran a little girl off the road. She lost a lot of blood.’

‘Oh my God!’ Ojukwu screams in shock ‘Did she survive?’

Akpos continues ‘I immediately took her to the hospital. By the time she was admitted it was already too late to get back to work, so it was clear that i could not get my job back.
I was about to go home and tell my wife of the series of unfortunate events when the doctor told me they needed to give the girl some blood.
Naturally i volunteered and they took a moderate amount of my blood.
As i was sitting in confusion at the hospital lobby i received a text from my landlord telling me to pay my month’s rent or he would kick me out on the streets.
And at that point i dint even have up to five thousand naira in my account, of which i still needed all the money i could find to pay the little girl’s hospital bill.
I also received another text from ekaite (My wife’s younger sister) telling me she was pregnant and i was responsible for it.
‘You poor man’ Ojukwu replied in pity.
As i was contemplating my next move, the doctor comes back and tells me that they could not use my blood because i was HIV positive.
‘Ah!’ ojukwu exclaims.
Akpos continues.

Out of confusion and panic i head back home to find little comfort from my wife only to find her in bed with another man!
‘Oh my!’ Ojukwu exclaims.

And thats when i headed to this bar,
Akpos breaks down into tears.
‘And just when i was about to put myself out of my misery you come along and drink my beer which i had just POISONED!!!!
