The north is already at war. Daily killings, military operations and bombings --- those are classical characteristics of war.

There can't be any post election war. Copy that. Max is post election violence, which I expect GEJ to mitigate. The only way there can be full scale war is if and only if GEJ is assassinated or there is a coup. Second option is out because coup is not fashionable again and such govt will not be recognised within the international community.

Lest I forget, nobody has the monopoly of violence. Surely, violence will begat violence and madness will definitely begat madness.

Hw do u knw that the power that supported the north will no longer support dem? The western europe and the US do not care about u as long as their economic interest is concerned (or oil issue is concerned).

^^^I don't know if you're privy to meetings held at the White House, to know who the US and other western nations prefer to run tingz in Nigeria!

The likely scenario is that, for whatever reason the South South and South East declare secession; it would be backed by the United Nations article promoting the right to self determination of all indigenous peoples......coupled with more than enough evidence showing what the secessionists have suffered at the hands of one Nigeria (evidence garnered right from the late 60s to date)! Without UN backing,how effective do you think the aggressors actions would be.....and i call them aggressors b'cos all those that seek to leave this pretentious set-up need do is first get the support of the UN, and then -as with Biafra in the 60s- go on to declare either separate countries or a confederation; and then it's left for the champions of one-Nigeria-at-all-costs to bring the fight to them!

Besides the above, what makes you think that South East/South South would sit down, fold their arms and allow the core North to bomb and strafe their cities to oblivion and ra/pe their women and children like happened during the Biafran war?

I don't know if the Yorubas would join the Hausa/Fulani to fight for one Nigeria or opt for an independent country of their own, but my guess is that they've learnt enough from past mistakes!

The only chance of saving a country called Nigeria is for all of us to sit at a round table and fashion out a just, equitable and egalitarian society based on capitalist principles of bloody hard work, merit and rewards; where each component part would have the space (and use of at least 50% of its own resources) to develop at its own pace.....not having to first seek permission from almighty Abuja before even doing so much as farting breathing!
