@nanidee 10x for opening such a thread,it really reminds of doze gud old dayz.

Evi-edna ogholi's "Happy Birthday" is a Bomb.Reminds me of dose days when "Birthdays" were "Bydays"..There was somethin dat was usually always done on course of doze "bydays" -chairs wud be placed and the kids wud be asked to be dancing round till the music stops, once it stops the kids have to rush the sits and sit down,if your still standing afta dat, then your eliminated..

The reason I like this type of topic is that it gives you the opportunity to know the mature nairalanders. This topic separate the men from the boys and the women from the girls, because its only those who have advanced in age that can contribute here. Anyway me I like felix liberty's "aburo mi o , eje mi ni o" Mandy's "taxi driver" etc

Actually my mum died in 1995 and all that this songs gives to me is sweet memories of her, especially Doing the romba, and Evi Edna's birthday song

Then foreign songs that she loved was Dona Summer- unconditional love and Tracy Chapman's Crossroad

How do you know what I was thinking while I was playing the video?

He relocated to Yankee and left her in abject poverty in Nigeria to suffer and die.

i have always been a fan of oldschool music, both foreign and local. I remember those days when I'd wake up in the morning to goto school and iyogogo by onyeka onwenu would be playing on tv and the world just felt right. This thread is priceless.
