What a shame that we cant have a factual/ meaningful debate on this forum without it resulting in a tribal war amongst ethnic nationalities. Throwing mud at any ethnic nationality in Nigeria = throwing mud on Nigeria, and later some Mofo will complain that ppl dont take nigeria serious/ hate Nigerians. How will they take us serious when we hate ourselves. quits thread.

Abagworo:

After all said and done, it is the duty of we the enlightened Igbos to educate our folks on the importance of paying tax. Igbos are naturally anti-tax going by past events and present ones as well. For a society to develop and for the people to understand the need for accountability from elected officials, taxes need to be paid and accounted for.

Am never against taxation.
Am only against over extortion and using tax payers money to do good for the citizens.
If the govts end up embezzling the revenue from taxes, then its messed up

Chinko is so dumb he mistake an igbira and igala facial mark for Yoruba mark. Like his village people don't draw marks. In the south African policeman voice those igbos that draw marks at the extreme end of their eye socket. Couple of chronic criminals..

Sloan:

You are still missing the point as you're so hung on ibos staying in Yoruba land. Well, as long as Nigeria remains, ibos will have the rights to live anywhere just like everybody else. However, that will not develop or increase the IGR of iboland! In fact, you are building another man's house while yours remains decrepit and economic activity low. This would continue until either Nigeria breaks into sovereign countries or the national conference alters the way Nigeria governs itself. When it does, you would have no legal rights to ownership or residency in those lands, why would you want that? It's not as though your hosts are not gaining a lot in the tax revenues and levies you must pay but I would rather pay a mortgage than a house rent!
IGR this IGR that, aren't you tired of beating that hollow drum?,upon all the alleged IGR your people still live in abject poverty and to make matters worse you depend on the igbos to feed your families. We will continue live off the land, pay pittance as tax and send the rest home for the needful until when we decide to turn Eko-ile into Eko-igbe.Haahaahhaaa
