Please can we try to stay on point and not tribalize this discussion. That is what I detest most so please stay on topic.

We can and will surely have a united Nigeria[s] if we keep such shallow mentality away from our thoughts[/s].
Not my intention.
Happy new year bruv. cheesy

Pimples: I am attracted to light skinned women that are naturally light skinned.
But the fake ones that bleach thoroughly disgust me.........
Wonder how I spot the fake ones?
Just look at their legs..... It will usually be dark
While their faces will be glowing like MJ.

There are still dark-skinned ladies in Nigeria but i must admit the rate at which ladies bleach their skin these days is alarming. I met some secondary school friends of mine and i couidn't believe my eyes-they were brighter than their future.

Anyway, I am dark and I love it.

And some people are saying I am exagerating.
It is really scary at the way girls turn from black to very fairr within weeks.

Nothing wrong with toning undecided

As for bleaching, everyone should be allowed to do whatever makes them feel beautiful.

Even when the "bleaching" ends up making some of them look like spoilt froozen chicken that has gone green? Let tell these people the truth. Bleaching has whole lot of side effects in the later days.

I just learnt that Lagos girls no longer bleach. They now prefer to turn white.
Heard a lady brought in "whitening cream and drugs and in less than a week she has ran out of stock.

Guys how will you react seeing your girlfriend brenda a week earlier all chocolate looking and in no time a 'white' lady knocks on your door and it is the same brenda?

This disturbing trend esp among ladies I attribute to inferiority complex. But also you wonder if this "overnight Oyinbo" don't have friends or family members to warn them about the long term effect of bleaching; or they themselves can't learn from the mistakes of others with multi colour skin complexion who we see everyday with badly damaged skin. BLACK is BEAUTIFUL any day any time.

Successful and intelligent women dont bleach. They understand the phrase, BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL.

I like dark skinned ladies but seriously I'll support bleaching wen I see a white lady or guy using anything (cream or wotever) just to look black. After bleaching, some (if not all) smell, av multiple skin colours, some look more skinny, fragile (skin disorders, infections, etc), some look like (pussycat)... Mehn d list is endless. I just freaking dislike bleaching

Re: Are Dark Skin Ladies Going Extinct In Nigeria? by Nobody: 5:31pm On Jan 08, 2014
ochon: Here we go again. Just cos you had a dark lady friend that needed a "flood light cos the camera flash wasn't good enough", but is now fair, has made you ask such a pathetic question. Nigerians have both chocolate and fair girls. My maternal side nieces and aunts are all fair from birth, does it mean they're bleaching?. My sis is chocolate and still is, is she bleaching?. How many ladies have you met?. Is genevive nnaji not chocolate, did you find her bleaching?. They're a lot of dark ladies in the street as well as fair ladies, just because one or two people you know bleached doesn't validate your lame questions. The truth is, nigerian girls are not as dark as the sengalese and malian ladies e.t.c. Some of them are bleaching, knowingly and unknowingly, but it doesn't warrant you asking if the dark skinned ones have gone extinct. I wonder if it's the same Nigeria we both live cos I see hundreds of dark skinned beauties every goddamn day!!. undecided
