Never knew i have no subtitute for NL among the social media sites.my subscibtion expired and i didnt bother to renew it!.

It wasn't funny oooo, because I was really following up a story where ogakpatakpata duped a woman, followed d thread up to 100 pages b4 nairaland crashed. I'm so addicted to nairaland, I almost got sick.

ba7man: With all the bigotry encouraged by this site with the aim of generating traffic, it was only a matter of time b4 it was hacked. Seun has been warned in the past about regulating the happenings on the site but he refused. To those in charge, let all the bigotry and hatred run free on this site and the next attack might be what will finally end it.

Please accept my sincere concern and commiserations over the hitch with Nairaland.
I can tell you that we Nairalanders are as much aggrieved , we feel incomplete and uninformed. I personally check almost every hour to see if there is improvement.
Having said that, if there is anything good coming out of this is our mutual recognition of the great service you are offering through the forum.
My sincere suggestion for the future are;
1. That registration and re-registration on NL comes with a small fee of about $10.00 every year.this is not too much and the vast majority of Nairalanders will be glad to contribute annually.
Many will not mind paying that stipend every month.
2. You will not lose on adverts because the appeal to NL will remain the same . Even if a few decide not to patronize NL with adverts, the $10,000,000.00 annual fee will cushion some of the effect of those losses.

I want to use this medium to commiserate with seun and his team over the attack and d resultant loss of data. I must also commend seun's effort in bringing the forum back on its feet again. Hope all measures are in place to forestall future occurence of this sacrilegous act. This black days of NL has taught me not to be addicted to anything in life, if not success and d oxygen i breath in. Addiction na winsh; i wan die becos of nairaland.

However, during the offline period, many of us didn't really enjoy the internet.

I personally searched for other forums, only to find out that there is none like nairaland. The closest was naijapals.

On the other hand, i observed that the hackers that tried to wipe out this forum had successfully wiped their data till about January 11. We pray such thing does not happen again.

I had to contact one of my friend on whatsapp who is on NL, that what's wrong, infact I recieved Calls from my peepz like na me gt nairaland self.....

I am a crazy fan of Nairaland, can't stay a day without spying on nairaland 4 at least 4-10 times, u can't imagine hw much I missed out it was a terrible experience, I pray it doesn't repeat itself
