Why are we all abusing each other. We should be happy we were one of the lucky once to pass the test.I feel it would be better for us all to share ideas on how the next stage will be like instead of us acting like kids.Thank You.

Here are some stuffs on the Graduate specialist scheme I googled, though is almost the same as pasted in the advert of UAC some months back...Just felt it'd help....

Who is the Graduate Specialist Programme aimed at?

The Graduate Specialist Programme caters to university graduates. Ideally, participants have recently completed their studies or are in the process of finishing their final thesis or exams. Alternatively, they may have already gained their PhD as well as initial job experience. The Graduate Specialist Programme provides systematic preparation for specialist or management roles in the company. Accordingly, you should not only have in-depth knowledge of your field (an excellent academic record and placements) but above all a willingness to take on responsibility.

What content is covered in the Graduate Specialist Programme?
Within the scope of the Graduate Specialist Programme, high-calibre potentials receive hands-on training to assume specialist functions in our company.
How is the program structured?
Total duration: 24 months; four to six placements in different areas that fit in your program.
Opportunities for networking with other programme participants, specialists and executives. Guidance and mentorship by seasoned executives. A permanent employment contract starting in September each year. Tailor your program to your needs – choose your focal area of expertise according to your interests/abilities. Integrated work concept: project duties are combined with day-to-day business.

Is the employment contract limited?
You will sign an unlimited employment contract. The trainee program last 24 months, afterwards you will receive a standard employment contract for a position at one of the locations in the United Kingdom.

Which qualifications are especially in demand in the Graduate Specialist Programme?
See the advertisement for the opening.

What are the requirements for acceptance into the Graduate Specialist Programme?
See the advertisement for the opening.

How much will I earn as a participant in the Graduate Specialist Programme?
We reward the commitment of our associates with remuneration in line with market conditions and individual performance. What’s more, we offer a wealth of additional benefits and further training options.

UAC advert in some months back, compare with the above: from what am deducing, successful candidates will be assuming supervisory role @ senior staff level Hmmmm, sounds challenging to me....

Graduate Specialists Scheme

The scheme which is a progressive 18-month prograrnme affords the graduate specialist focused and personalized development through:

Structured classroom training.
Business/Functional exposure.
Structured functional mentoring programme.
Successful candidates are employed on Senior Staff (Supervisory) grade

@rossyc... Thank U
Guys, from what i've heard from past interviewees.. D interview may fall under 3stages.

1st stage- U will face a 3/4man panel (usually heads of UAC divisions). Dey'll ask U basic questions like who are U? Why do U wanna work here?, about their products, etc. Dey may even ask U questions on politics, sports etc. It depends on the interviewers. Here, U will have to show a gud level of confidence and try to attempt the questions even if U dont know some.

2nd stage- Dis is d tricky part(D devil's basket).. U'll walk into a room, and pick a piece of paper, open it, think abt it for 1min then U'll talk abt d topic for 2mins..U hav to b audible & confident. Here, U can see any topic, but no fear..its usually simple topics, except u're not too lucky. U cud see somthing like 'performance', 'social security', etc.

3rd stage- D interview will be like d first one, U'll talk with d directors here.. Just do d same stuff U did in d first stage..
Dis is how its done for Mgt Trainees, I dont know abt Graduate specialists. But obviously questions will com from ur job experiences, etc.
Any other info is welcome.

Your NAME must come first. Don't believe everything you read about interviews. If you don't tell them your name cos they know it, why then will you tell them about your work experience cos they know it too. NB: It is in your cv. Start with your name and date of birth then your academic achievements before your work experience. End with your hobby and strength. Make it short like (7-10sentences) to avoid being boring. First Impression matters.

Seriously, there are no wrong or right answers to this type of question because interviewers have certain things they are interested in knowing about a candidate.

From my little experience, i have been specifically asked in an interview the question in this way " can we meet you? Tell us about your family and educational background" and it was easy to answer because it was straight forward

In another interview, i have been asked the question in this way " can i meet you" and after talking for long about my strenghts, goals, interest in the job and achievement, the man said " you did not tell me anything about your family and educational background" and i had to talk about them

My recommendation

When asked such a question, start to answer it by telling the interviewer your name, then give an outline of what you will be talking about and try to gain the consent of your interviewer before proceeding
eg My name is *** And i'll like to tell you about my academic background, family background, my achievements and why i chose to apply to this job" u can softly ask if this is what you are expected to say and i'm sure you will be guided accordingling.

P.S. The above are from my little experiences and are in no way what you are compulsorily required to say when asked such a question
You can google the keyword interview tips.pdf or interview success.pdf and read any interview books you can lay your hands on.
Goodluck!
