The photograph of the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the State of Osun, Senator Iyiola Omisore, sitting on a motorcycle in what appeared a stage-managed show of being with the masses, has elicited a trending wave of mockery, as commercial motorcyclists, popularly called Okada riders, and observers have described the photograph
as a fake.


A commercial motorcyclist in Osogbo, the state
capital, Kamil Olaoti, said Omisore was never known
to have identified with the ordinary people before.
He said it was clear that now that Omisore needs
votes, he is trying to fake identifying with the people.“We have seen photo of his Okada riding. That tells us that Omisore is a fake. Fayose of Ekiti that he is trying to copy is naturally a street man. Omisore thinks the Ekiti magic can work in Osun,” he stressed.

Another Okada rider, Mr. Oriade Ajasa, who spoke
with the medium at Ota-Efun area of the state
capital, said it was obvious that Omisore was
desperately looking for what will make him appeal to the common man, while wondering how could he
appeal to the common man, when he has not been
doing that before now.

A leader of the commercial motorcyclists in Osogbo,
Mr. Samson Egbetokun, said the picture has shown
Omisore to be a confused politician. “If he likes, let him go and eat Booli (roasted plantain) and epa( groundnut) on the streets of Ilesa or Ila or Osogbo, that does not change the fact that he is not seen to be committed to the welfare of the common man. “He is a fake and nothing but fake. He was a senator and what did we benefit from him. He should go and tell his party that riding Okada and looking odd on it is not what we want in a governor,” he stated.

We read and heard worse things about Fayose. How that even his PDP party men were against him, yet the bobo won in every LG in Ekiti state. This yeye news should be fine tuned. When Omisore gives tin tomatoes now, everybody will line up and vote him in including that okada chairman.
