I did ITF with some of them who told me their whole class (civil engrg) was evenly split between 2-1 and 2-2 the rest are either 1st or 3rd class with no pass. That wasnt the civil engineering i knew in most federal Uni's. Their class was a class of about 150 or more and @ 400L. That was when on the same course we had only 3 2-1, almost even split of 2-2 and 3rd class and some pass in a class of 50. It was also a time when 2 of their lecturers were in my school for PhD.

A lot of people here have saying statement that is related to this 'anyone who fails (woefully) in federal or state uni postjamb are those that are admitted by private uni and has first class. Lemme tell you that I was not admitted to bell university coz I failed their post jamb but later went FUNAAB and had first class. It is very possible she merited d grade.d main reason why students in govt owned institutions do not often have first class is not becos they av higher standard,but because lecturers in govt schools are simply wicked.how do u reconcile a situation where someone who graduated at uniben with second class lower went on to av first class in his post graduate at a university abroad.most of d lecturers here are simply wicked,with few exceptions.and most of dis few exceptions are mostly those who schooled abroad

well i pray my case will cause auguments like dis on nairaland and oda forums soon... Well gettin a first class is good but wen it comes to applications of dis knwledge in d real world, u wont be judge abt d amount of tins in ur head but wit wat u can do wit it. Getting a CGPA of 4.99 is almost impossible, in a well strutured curicullum u cant be d best at everytin. The 2:1's are always very intelligent and they think outside d box alot. Being a useful adult to ur family and d society at large is more than gettin 5 dot.

Mate I work as an IT Infrastructure Engineer and have absolutely NOTHING to do with coding of any kind.

Yes scripting is extremely useful....but is by no means the 'best way to prove skill in computing as you claimed earlier'

chairman it's not evrybdy that will code to be a computer scientist. Computer science is vast such that it's not necessary you know about coding(writing programs). I could remember that my project was based on Business intelligence under Management Information System. @ master level u'll understand it better.
