In addition to increasing the monthly subvention to all tertiary institutions, and the reactivation of various scholarship schemes, the present administration in Abia state has from inception in 2007 taken definite and strategic actions in addressing the challenges that bedeviled the education sector. The government has embarked on massive rehabilitation and construction of standard classroom blocks, offices, and other facilities in schools across the state. Presently the rehabilitation and construction works at the following schools and educational centre have been completed.

From 2007 – 2011, the following projects were executed by the department and handed over to the owners.
