C0llynzO2: @Oduastates I don't know what your rant is about and why you put yourself on a high horse.
The picture are those of rural areas as stated by the OP. The Bayelsa, Delta and Akwa Ibom you mentioned are doing better that your South west states of Osun, Oyo, Ondo, Ogun and Ekiti.
Those states have urban areas like warri, Asaba and Uyo which are better than your Oshogbos, Akures and Abeokutas, even Yenagoa is fast catching up infrastructurally albeit silently. We all know what the pictures of your supposed ''capital cities'' are like let alone the rural areas.

Ok let us assume you are right,do those places have even half the human resources of coming out of ijeshaland .Do they have half the primary and secondary school of ondo west.

Do you know of any place with as much factories as ota ?
You are not catching up,you guys are slowing is down.
Even at that,it will take you 200 years if you continue with the way you are going .that is if we stop doing anything .
doing better than oyo?I am laughing.
You better come ibadan see your people hustling and getting all the opportunities they are denied at home,in a largely peaceful( niger standard) state
From tomato /fish seller to the businessman/ civil servant .
The only place doing better than oyo is port harcourt and the only advantage it has is the oil industry and nigh life and the opportunities specific to it.
Apart from that,
Nothing.
Whether it is the
Education industry
Manufacturing
Telecoms
Agriculture/animal husbandry
Research
Commerce
Shopping
Transportation and distribution.
Building industry/real estate

These are what makes an economy .
If any of your states can scratch this ,then I will agree with you.

Some of these pictures are part of Rivers state so don't exempt Amaechi except you are bias as APC.

You shouldnt blame Amaechi, not for a single moment..

When Gov. Amaechi initiated moves to rid the waterfront of such structures and relocate the dwellers to houses fit for human habitation, the Ijaws who dwelled in such slums were shouting out their voices that they be left alone, claiming such areas as their ancestral heritage..

The First lady instead of standing on the side of reason, supported her people..How can the situation improve when assistance is rejected.

Please don't say what you don't know. Amaechi destroyed Abonemma waterside and never provided a shelter for any of them. Which place did Amaechi build them houses to move in to. Instead he tagged them criminals.

Don't claim to know Niger delta when you have spend all your life in the west.

The Niger Delta scared me while I schooled there.

The soil, water and air being poisoned on a daily basis, right in front of your eyes.

This are rural areas in the Niger delta, and it it normal for rural areas to be undeveloped in Nigeria.

that's what yorubas do, they even know your family more than you do without leaving their rustic zinc hell hole. Very soon yorubas will start telling you what happens in your bedroom without knowing where you stay grin grin grin stewpid people

Niger-delta is more developed than SW, even a mad man on the street knows this, only if the Yorubas here are worse than mad people. Apart from lagos (which the combination of calabar and ph can take out anyway) which other city in sw can be compared with the likes of uyo, ph, calabar, warri, benin etc just mention one.

economically, delta, rivers will dust oyo to its game. When it come to beauty and city aesthetic, every single capital in niger-delta will dust all the capital cities in SW. Mind you, am not saying SW isn't economically viable, but apart from that, SW should be compared with northeast.
