Importance of oil in engine - Knowledge is a safety feature. It is well worthwhile to educate Problem In Car Engine yourself about the various warning signs that the car will project. You also need to keep in mind that the dashboard lights are connected to sensors within the car you are driving. If the oil light indicates you’re getting low on oil, you really should not ignore it. Oil is a lubricant that reduces the friction in the engine. If you do not have enough you can expect to have parts of the engine start to wear down. The owner’s manual in your glove compartment is a valuable dictionary of information. It can help you stay vigilant about your engine. You should page through it every now and then just to stay advised.

The idea of a car driving upside down might seem preposterous, the kind of stunt seen in dumb action movies. However, science has assured us that it is indeed possible for a car to drive on the ceiling.Race cars, specifically those used for Formula One racing, are designed with inverted wings.

Stuart Parr is a designer of sumptuously simple buildings and interiors. He’s a gallerist with a focus on high modern furnishings. He’s a producer of movies including 2002’s Oscar-winning 8 Mile and 2005’s Get Rich or Die Tryin’. He is the manager of knighted Australian industrial designer Marc Newson, and a curator of exhibitions of decorative arts. To call Parr a polymath would do the man a terrible injustice.

e is also a tireless collector of cars and motorcycles, and a stunning group of the latter is on display until 18 July in New York: 26 vintage Italian bikes from the 1970s, from manufacturers including Ducati, MV Agusta, Laverda and Magni. Parr talked recently about his collection, his passions and his propensity for failing to shift his cars into Park.

There is much to love about the city of Detroit, including an excellent jazz festival, a world-class art museum and one of America's great farmer's markets. January, however, is not on this list. January in Detroit is unwaveringly unbearable, but for auto writers, the North American International Auto Show, a wintertime fixture since 1899 (seriously), makes an untimely visit to the Motor City a fairly unavoidable annual ritual. Fortunately, just as a Detroit January is predictably rotten, the cars of the Detroit show are just as predictably excellent (some much more so than others).

Herewith, the winners (and a few losers) of the 2016 North American International Auto Show.

Kia Telluride Concept
2017 Honda Ridgeline
2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
Acura Precision Concept
2017 Lincoln Continental
Buick Avista Concept
2017 Lexus LC 500
2017 Chrysler Pacifica
2017 Infiniti Q60

The ‪‎Detroit‬ ‪Auto‬ ‪‎Show‬, also known as the North American International Auto Show, represents the biggest automotive industry event held in the North American car market. The biggest automakers, such as Ford, Fiat Chrysler, and Ford, roll out their brightest vehicles and concept cars. So, you can see why Detroit is also called the Motor city or Motown.
One of the brightest cars you can see among all the exhibited is Acura’s 4 Door Precision Concept. Looks bizarre? Maybe. Catches the buyer’s attention? Definitely!
Re: Facts About Cars by CarXus: 4:02pm On Jan 16, 2016
Acura Precision Concept
If Detroit has a running theme this year, it's the big low-slung luxury coupe. Buick has such a concept, Lexus and Infiniti have production cars, and now Acura has pulled the wraps off the dramatic Precision Concept. Designed at Acura's California styling studio, the coupelike Precision is less a specific proposition than it is a suggestion of the Honda luxury brand's evolving design language. And there's a lot going on here, from those ginormous 22-inch wheels to the "Jewel Constellation LED headlights composed of organically arranged fractal elements." It's not small, either; the Precision is as long as a Cadillac Escalade and about four inches wider. The four-place interior is as "wow" as the exterior, with an edgy mix of textures, colours and materials, and a dearth of physical buttons. The whole thing — the interplay of the exterior and interior forms — was guided by a philosophy Acura calls "quantum continuum." Groovy.

Tired from offering your vehicle for sale to your friends and neighbors, try CarXus

Nothing lasts forever, no one is eternal – said one of the classics. Everything in the world is arranged by such principle. This applies to cars, that may were an object of desire once and of sleepless nights eventually turns into something not right and not true, then you need quickly to sell and forget, or simply replace it.

2017 Lincoln Continental
When Lincoln revealed the Continental Concept a year ago, then-Bentley chief designer Luc Donckerwolke slammed the car for looking like a knockoff of the British carmaker's Flying Spur. Well, Mr Donckerwolke (who is now designing Hyundais) can rest easy: The production Continental is here and it looks decidedly less like a Bentley than the concept that inspired it. That said, the new car — the first to wear the Continental name since the unlamented demise of a Ford Taurus-based barge in 2002 — is still very grand, positively laden with luxury and tech, and possessed of the most stupendous front seats in the automotive world. Providing the power is a 3-litre twin-turbo V6 producing something close to 400 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. Whether the car has the panache to go bumper-to-bumper with Cadillac's suave new CT6 remains to be seen, but for now, the Continental looks like the start of something good for Ford's luxury brand.

Buick Avista Concept
Motoring writers are aflutter over this sporting coupé from General Motors' near-luxury division, which, like some of its buyers, celebrates its 113th birthday in 2016. The car is handsome, but a bit too inspired by Bentley's Continental GT for its own good. Size-wise, the Avista matches up neatly with the Chevrolet Camaro, upon which it is based, with a long nose, short deck and seating for two plus "two". A twin-turbo V6 delivers a sufficient (if hardly scintillating) 400 horsepower to the rear wheels, so performance should be brisk, if far from that of the 1987 Buick GNX, with which this car is being compared. As GM rear-wheel-drive 2+2 coupé concepts go, the Cadillac Elmiraj from 2013 was altogether more compelling and brand-appropriate, but the Avista seems more likely reach showrooms. Go figure.

2017 Chrysler Pacifica and Pacifica Hybrid
Chrysler invented the minivan, they tell us. Or maybe it was just the term "minivan" they invented. Either way, this is a segment of the market that the company has no intention of evacuating. The new Chrysler Pacifica and Pacifica Hybrid arrive to displace the venerable Town & Country and do battle with Honda's suburban darling, the Odyssey. The vans roll with fresh style and piles of trick features, including a three-panel sunroof, an on-board vacuum and a pair of 10in high-def touchscreen displays for the rear-seat entertainment system. A 268hp gasoline V6 is the standard engine; the plug-in Hybrid model adds an electric motor and a pack of lithium-ion cells, allowing the van to cruise for 30 miles on battery power alone.

2017 Infiniti Q60
Its style is busier than that of the outgoing G37 Coupe, but Infiniti's new G60 coupe is a knockout nonetheless — lower and wider than the svelte G37, and tantalisingly close to the acclaimed Q60 Concept from 2015. In the US, the 2017 Q60's top engine (one of three) is a twin-turbo 3-litre V6 producing a healthy 400 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. It's matched only (yes, only) to a seven-speed automatic transmission; the sweet six-speed manual is gone. Rear-wheel drive is standard, but Infiniti's excellent, rear-biased all-wheel drive system is available. The interior is suitably stylish, with optional carbon fibre trim and a 13-speaker Bose Performance Series audio system. Is this the star of the Detroit show?

Every year a new reality emerges at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, and 2016 was no exception. It was a particularly banner year for the future of mobility. Electric vehicles went mass market. Rear-view mirrors became obsolete. And self-driving cars took another big step toward the here and now. In fact, there were more new transportation concepts and innovative automotive technologies on display than ever before. Here are but a few of the most notable.

2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV

Capable and affordable, the handsome Bolt is an electric car for the masses, says Chevrolet. Compared with the Nissan Leaf, the Bolt EV rolls twice as far (200 miles) on a charge, offers more interior space and packs more tech for approximately the same price (about $30,000 in the US, after a $7,500 Federal tax credit). We’ll see how it compares with Tesla’s Model 3, which is scheduled to be unveiled this spring. Until then, the Bolt sets a new benchmark for EVs.

Faraday Future FFZERO1
While the Bolt is the practical man’s electric vehicle, the FFZERO1 is for the extremist. This slick-looking single-seat racer was put together in only three months by FF's Head of Design Richard Kim and his team to serve as an example of what can built atop the fledgling automaker’s all-new scalable vehicle architecture. Though Kim says the FFZERO1 will not be Faraday’s first production car, he does admit that its sci-fi features “hint at the look of coming production models."

Volkswagen BUDD-e Concept
Hippies rejoice: VW has electrified your beloved Microbus and, in the process, provided the rest of us with a glimpse into the future of the manufacturer's electrification program. Though Volkswagen didn't say much about the BUDD-e’s propulsion system, it will be configured like the Tesla Model S, with electric motors at the front and rear axles and a battery pack in between. The range on a full charge is 233 miles and top speed is a swift 93mph. While the Microbus physique was meant to pull on the heartstrings of tech-impaired empty nesters, the BUDD-e boasts the latest bells and whistles. For example, all systems can be controlled through touchscreens, voice commands or gestures, from turning on the heat to opening the side doors.

Kia Drive Wise Autonomous Cars
Kia jumped into the driverless-car fray by unveiling its new line of Drive Wise autonomous driving technologies. The systems, which include urban and highway modes, use a combination of radar, camera, GPS and ultrasonic sensors to negotiate lane-changing and overtaking on highways or to navigate busy city environments without input from the driver. Also on display was the I-Cockpit concept, which previewed the automaker’s next-generation human-machine interface technologies, including gesture control and a touchpad that automatically recognizes driver preferences based on a fingerprint swipe. Kia hopes to bring partially autonomous vehicles to market by 2020 and completely driver-less cars by 2030.

EHang 184 Personal Driving Vehicle
The real must-have gadget from CES, the EHang 184 is part drone, part personal helicopter. This car-sized electric quadcopter can carry a single occupant up to 10 miles with almost no guidance. The passenger inputs the destination via a mobile app, and the 184 autonomously handles the rest. According to the company, it can fly for about 23 minutes on a full charge, at speeds up to 62mph. Sadly, it's not legal in the US.

Used cars in USA: Pros and cons of buying a car from an auction

There are various methods of buying a car these days. One does not necessarily have to walk into a showroom and pay the sky-rocketing price for a brand new car. People who cannot afford to invest outright in a new vehicle can pick up an old car from dealers, websites, and auction houses. There are several auction houses that supply used cars in USA.

There are various pros and cons involved if you buy from there. Let us make a quick analysis:

Pros:

Economic: Buying an old car from an auction is the best thing you can do for your wallet. After all, the reason why you are buying a used car is because you wish to save money. Therefore, it would be ideal to pick up a car from auction site since here you get them very cheap.
Guarantee of ownership: Auction houses and websites give you full guarantee about the ownership rights of the car. Thus, you will not fall into any legal trouble in the future and won’t have to suffer from any loss thereof.

Cons:

Auction fee: One minor con is that you may have to shell out an auction fee in order to take part in the proceedings. The amount is a nominal one. However, you may even avoid paying it by simply buying used cars in USA from an auction-export website.
Buy on the face of it: Since, you cannot test drive the car, you are buying it primarily on its face value. So, if you pick up a wrong car and bid for it and win the bid, then there is no turning back. Hence, it is best to buy from an auction website rather than directly from an auction.

BMW Motorrad Vision Head-Up Display

Although BMW's four-wheeled innovations took centre stage at CES, the company's motorcycle division had some clever kit at the show, as well, including a helmet with a built-in heads-up display. Similar to the Skully AR-1, BMW's Vision helmet places a transparent display over the rider's right eye, onto which is projected a host of basic data, including speed, fuel level, navigation and road-hazard alerts. The display can also serve as a closed-circuit rear-view feed, eliminating the need to glance at the side mirror. The company says the helmet should be production ready within a few years.

In New York City, it is illegal to honk your #car claxon except in an emergency

In a bid for a bit more quiet in the crowded megapolis, few years ago one taxi driver urged his colleagues to be good neighbors and honk only if it is exceptionally needed. Otherwise, they should be prepared to a risk of getting a ticket. Now, the unnecessary use of a claxon installed in a car is illegal, and the fine is $350 per summons.

With Amazon connection, Ford's Sync comes home
Another emerging trend at this year’s CES involved enhancing the communication between your car and home. One of the more accessible solutions is the result of a collaboration between Ford and Amazon. It involves linking Ford’s Sync infotainment system with the online retail giant's Echo smart home hub. Using voice commands, Sync users can, say, open a garage door, access their home’s thermostat or turn on an outside light from miles away. Vice versa, through Amazon's Alexa digital assistant, users will be able to stop, start, lock, unlock and check their vehicle's fuel range from the comfort of home.

Gracenote Dynamic EQ
Good sound quality is sorely underrated. And Gracenote knows it. That’s why the company has created a new layer of technology, an algorithm, to analyze every song you play, and then automatically adjust your car stereo's equalizer settings to optimize the aural quality of the playback. By customizing EQ settings down to the track level every song sounds like the artist meant it to be heard.
