Osun Election: Oyinlola’s Men Defect To Apc by Nobody: 12:37am On Jul 19, 2014 |
Four Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) chieftains who are supporters of former governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola, including his personal assistant, Mr. Razaq Oyelami, have defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC). Oyinlola recently met with President Goodluck Jonathan on the prospects of having his seat as the national secretary of the PDP returned to him. The defectors include former state secretary of the PDP, Chief Yinka Adeojo, former chairman, Osogbo Local Government, Alhaji Teslim Igbalaye and a former assistant state secretary of the party, Alhaji Razaq Oyetunji. The PDP in the state had earlier announced the expulsion of the quartet from the party. Sequel to their expulsion, the former PDP chieftains were received into the APC by the state governor, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola at a campaign rally organized by the APC in Ilesa. But the PDP state chairman, Alhaji Ganiyu Olaoluwa warned that the former PDP members who are still members of various federal boards risk losing their appointments.
