This is reason we have no decent roads?

This reason why our youths have no jobs?

I'm not surprised because just like the western media treats Nigeria, most of the news that is published on the north ignores the prosperous aspects and focuses on the negative.

1. Sayyu Dantata

Mr. Sayyu I. Dantata is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of MRS Holdings Ltd (Formerly, MRS Group). He serves as the Chairman of MRS Oil Nigeria Plc and has been its Director since March 20, 2009. He serves as a Director of Hydro Alternative Energy, Inc. Alhaji. Dantata has been a Non-executive Director of Nigerian Telecommunications Limited since August 2008. Alhaji. Dantata served as a Director at MRS Holdings Ltd (also known as MRS Group). He served as a Director at Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc. He is a seasoned mechanical engineer by training at the Morris Brown College Atlanta- Georgia, USA.

Interesting fact - Chris Brown refused to stay in any of the 5-star hotels offered to him and chose to stay at Sayyu's palatial home on banana island..

Stay tuned for more.

2. Abdulsamad Rabiu

Abdulsamad Rabiu is new to the Forbes World's Billionaires list this year. He is the founder of BUA Group, a Nigerian conglomerate with interests in sugar refining, cement production, real estate, steel, port concessions, manufacturing, oil and gas, and shipping. We estimate the Group's annual revenues at more than $2 billion. He got his start in business working for his father, Isyaku Rabiu, a successful businessman from Nigeria's northern region. He struck out on his own in 1988, importing rice, sugar and edible oils as well as steel and iron rods.

3. Alh. Musa Bashir - Rahamaniyya Group

Rahamaniyya Group was established in October 2003, as an oil trading business with focus on Nigerian market and a strong desire to be leader in the Downstream Sector. The company has experienced phenomenon growth since it was established 5 years ago. Musa Bashir is a self-made billionaire and one of the successful young gladiators dominating the oil and gas sub-sector in Nigeria. As an influential member of the billionaires club in the country, Rahamaniya is almost synonymous with opulence, class and flamboyance. He is also the darling of most of the biggest banks in the country. He dines and mingles with bank chief executives with all ease and wanton respect. Rahamaniya was a pro bono client whose name rings a bell in various bank board rooms. To various bank chief executives, the young billionaire’s wish, whose annual turn- over was placed at over N1 trillion, was law. To many people in Sokoto, Rahamaniya’s home-town, he was a philanthropist to beat, as he has carved out a niche for himself in dishing out financial favours with reckless abundance.

Interesting Fact: Rahamaniyya owns the largest tank farm in W/Africa.

5. Adamu Dankabo

From a humble beginning in 1980 as a private airline company the first of its kind in Nigeria, Kabo Air steadily grew to overwhelmingly dominate the skies of Nigeria in the field of air operations.

For over a decade Kabo Air operated about 20 domestic flights daily linking Nigerians from both sides of Rivers Niger and Benue especially businessmen and women from Kano through which business transaction flourished, catapulting Kano people to new level in modern business. From two leased aircrafts at its inception, Kabo Air had at its peak period of operations 24 fully owned aircrafts of varying sizes to consolidate its position as No1 in Africa.

Indeed with continued dwindling fortunes of Nigerians well into the 1990’s the pragmatic and visionary owner of Kabo Air, late Jarman Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Adamu Dankabo swiftly ventured into the more viable international operations especially Umrah and Hajj operations.

oduastates:

Your arguments are just lame.
We are talking about the proceeds of crime, you are talking about what is essentially typical business behaviour in the business life cycle (elbowing the competitors out of the way).
Tell me what value any of these people add to the Nigerian society.
All of them are either fascist monopolists ,crooked government contractors, socially useless bankers or oil thieves.
You thought this thread will lead to money worship but you were not prepared for the blowback effect.
You know the difference between my society and yours?
My society 's corrupt elites bothered to provide the basics( health, education).
Because of that ,millions of my fellow omoluabis have assets all over the world and which they can sell ,in order to afford these car.
What about yours?
Producing almajiris, orphans ,handicapped and widows by the millions.
You better thank Nigeria for giving you and the spoilt kids the cover to flaunt what is essentially , ill gotten wealth .Otherwise,i am sure that Boko haram would have sent all of you packing by now .

Exactly.

Money worship? How old are you? The purpose of this thread was clearly stated in the preamble, i guess you missed it - again because you are not observant. The only effect that came was one i was prepared for after upsetting the ship of thought that wants to hear nothing prosperous about the north, a ship that has propaganda as the skipper and ignorance as deck men.

prophetone: In the past months a lot of negative news has come out of the great federation that is Arewa. The incessant bombings and general insecurity that's has pervaded the Nation and Northern Nigeria in particular has left us searching and praying for a solution in view of the lacuna in leadership that has left us to search within for a way out.

We deserve a break from all the bad news emanating from every crevice of our land and celebrate the good things we are blessed with.

If you think this is a good news.... you must be high on ALOMO BITTERS.
This is not a blessing or any good thing.

Even Politicians/ bussines men from the developed counties would not display such waste without been criticized.

The good new we want from the North are.
Good home.
Better security
Affordable and quality education
better healthcare.

AsSabirin: All I see is hypocrites all over on this thread. Imagine one saying

Let me ask you a simple question, do you wear a wrist watch? If yes, why should you do so when you can give the money to someone suffering? Besides you can check time on you phone.
Do you use a phone? Is it a smart phone? Why not go for something less like a java phone and give the money to some suffering around?
You don't have to have millions to help.

Port Harcourt people please correct me if I am wrong.
But isn't Trans Amadi where almost all (if not, the a lot of them) the oil companies in Nigeria have a office or some sort of location there?
How is the condition of the road? Yes the "trans amadi" road.
I have traveled to quite a handful of places in the north and there is no state, at least the ones that I have been to with a road like that in the middle if town. NONE!!

Lets try to check ourselves before we point at other people flaws.

Below is the shot of trans Amadi, the not so bad part seff.

Look at how u just messed gov ameachi up?
Are u sure that picture is from trans amadi in PH or trans amadi wanna be in aba?

I thought ameachi has fixed all the major roads in PH and have also finished building mono rails.

I thought there is no more work for him to do therefore he is now travelling round the country escorting people invited by the SSS and also running an airport taxi business like driving fellow governors for 5hrs to their various destinations.

This can't be true but it is.
