Bro, the only way out is for whoever the labourer is to resign if he is not satisfied with his working condition. Most comments before mine have highlighted it all, our leaders have sold us out cheap. A similar thing is happening at my place of work but since non of us have another option, we have to remain in the job. Imagine! If you even complain to anybody now, what you'll hear is ' tender your resignation'. I pray I can do that soon or just talk a walk because the tool to work is not very much available and yet they tell your ur not performing.

PENALTIES... penalties for offense committed could range between #5000-#20000 and could be deducted once from your salary.
JOB SECURITY- insecured.
Apart from salaries paid, no extensive employee packages. No health insurance, no paid time off from work, no retirement plans for workers, workers are fired at will, what pains me most is a Chinese man beating up a Nigerian because of a slight offense. Sometimes a whole salary could be seized just because of an offense. Why, why, why, these Chinese men are highly respected in Nigeria yet nigerians are enslaved home and abroad. The labour unions will come and do investigations but nothing happens thereafter. LAMATA pretends as if they hear or know nothing hmmmm. I remember some years ago when west african rubber products (WARP) lockd their workers on overnight duty in the factory and there was a fire outbreak that killed the woRkers. What happened? It is a circle of hurt really. same way the American and European companies maltreat the Chinese in their country. Sometime ago, i witnessed an incident at Trans Amadi, PH where some mopol guys escorting a lebanese beat the living daylight outa a driver because he didn't clear from the road for them to transport their almighty foreigner. They only left him after breaking his windshield.

Meanwhile, those were guys instituted to protect the lives and properties of common Nigerians. After the act those policemen put up in the presence of the lebanese, i'm wondering why he won't maltreat his employees assuming he is an employer. How on earth are these foreigners supposed to respect and take us seriously? It's really PATHETIC to say the least.

Since there are no jobs, people will take up any job irrespective of the salary in order to survive. It is the duty of the government and the labour unions like the NLC to protect the interest of the Nigerian workers.

I had my experience too,i didn't know CwAY group is a chinese company till i went there for an interview as a QCO and guess what? I was told i would be payed 16k,the breakdown was so hilarious and to think that the so called HR(a chinese) couldn't differientiate btw Diploma and B.Sc is beyond me! It's a pity our Federal Govt has sold us out,when i got out of the gate,i concluded that we are still being colonized,we just won't accept that!

Colonization was far better i tell you.

sometime ago, I was at MMA, flying to Frankfurt (germany). I was kinda talking some pictures when one immigration guy walked up to me in an attempt to seize my phone right there , I reminded him on how they lick other races a'ss , like "would you interrupt a white man if he's doing likewise" ? immediately,the guy shamefully left.

I was so pissed off and shouted at those officers who usually ask for money at the departure. they be like "you get problem with person before" . even the guy that stamped the passport, I directly told him how fuvcked up It's to be a Nigerian force.

This is the kind of mentality i don't like about nigerians. When few individuals train themselves and standout will it solve the problem? We are looking for a way of solving collecting problem and not individualist way of solving such problem. The root has been corrupt so how do we correct the root and re plant the tree to bear a fresh fruit that's the essence of these thread.
