Cos nigerians are too dumb to fight for themselves, they consider themselves substandard to any kind of person with a complexion lighter than theirs, so they deserve to be treated as slaves in their own house until they eventually wise up. I doubt if they will though.

It is called capitalism, if you do not like the working conditions then get another job.

If you choose to remain, then stop whining.

Blame your clueless govt who failed to create jobs for it people and is allowing foreign companies to operate without guaranteeing a minimum standard of working conditions.

I was supervising a Lebanese coy sometimes ago n the Workers complained d Mechanical section Supervisor usually call them Monkey in their own country and they are happy.
what! Monkey?

The problem is caused by us nigerians. I dont know maybe if it is as a result of our religious mentality.

When you to react to what some chinese or indians do to you, many nigerians will tell you ''just leave am for God'' or ''God dey''.

Wtf! This our mentality. And these foreigns knows this and they will take more advantage to this ideas we have.

Nigerians, most of us are too fearful. Nigerians are not ready to die for others, when you as an individual want to stand for the truth, or your speak your mind without fear others will plot against you behind and betray you. That is howmany many nigerians are.
We nigerians like to talk talk and talk but no action.

I was fell prey to my fellow nigerians attitude due to the fact that someone who we worked for was maltreating us, i delibrateful spoke my mind to the man but refuse to do his biddings. I thought i was fighting for everyone, but the poeple i was fighting for were in support of the man.

Betrayals! Many nigerians are betrayals!

no wonder NLC is a useless organization full of actors no action.

SALARY SCALES... I want to use China civil engineering construction cooperation (Ccecc ) as an example.
Labours- between.#15000 and #21000
workmen_ between #27000 and #31000
STAFF- between #45000 and #50000

WORKING PERIODS- 7.30am-6.00PM @30 days that means no rest days.
PENALTIES... penalties for offense committed could range between #5000-#20000 and could be deducted once from your salary.
JOB SECURITY- insecured.
Apart from salaries paid, no extensive employee packages. No health insurance, no paid time off from work, no retirement plans for workers, workers are fired at will, what pains me most is a Chinese man beating up a Nigerian because of a slight offense. Sometimes a whole salary could be seized just because of an offense. Why, why, why, these Chinese men are highly respected in Nigeria yet nigerians are enslaved home and abroad. The labour unions will come and do investigations but nothing happens thereafter. LAMATA pretends as if they hear or know nothing hmmmm. Can nigerians go to other countries and allowed to act this way?

My friend this is how they built their country into what it is, low wages, competitive output that attracts real investment. You cannot build a new power station, pave 1000 kilometres of roads and build equivalent of the district of Garki, Abuja every week paying 'American Wages' while working 4 hours a day (as the average Nigerian does). That is the reality. In that part of the world they tie wages to output. That's why they have not had a recession in a generation.

Nigeria and Nigerians need to sit down and study these people rather than berate them at every turn. Poster, while you may at first glance appear to have a case. Of course those wages will not support a man with lots of children and plenty of unemployed dependants but the truth is that the Chinese rather have ten people earning 50,000
than one earning 500,000 with nine dependants which is our feudalism model in Nigeria top to bottom.

And personally in the real, real world I will rather hire a cheaper chinese hand than an expensive Nigerian hand, sentiments aside. Every body does it - from the phones we use, the tv's we watch to our agricultural equipment. We can only afford them because the Chinese are discounting.

Today in my service delivery 7 out of every 10 of my clients has a primary concern which is cost. I have lost clients due to my inability to 'tighten up'. Even those who started out as purist quality seekers are now value seekers. They take quality for granted because competition is tough. The only card which I play and which works for me forever in Nigeria is the integrity joker. As for survival I have to constantly look for cost savings, I have to work hard and of course the staff have to sacrifice as well.

If the Chinese are to survive in Nigeria and undermine their more established Euro-American competitors, they will have to keep costs low. As an individual - graduate, trainee, professional, consultant, whatever my advice is: work hard, improve your competencies, 'moderate' your demands and maintain your integrity and dignity. You will succeed. Stop complaining.

This foreign companies will not have any regards for their nigerian workers, bcuz they can clearly see how nigerian are being treated like slaves in our country by our own govt. What do u call a country where innocent girls have being kidnapped for more than 120 days, yet nothing has happened to rescue them. A country where rich men use their gatemen and house maids for rituals, yet nobody cares to ask about their whereabouts. They companies can see how we treat ourselves, so they treat us in that same regards. But i can never take that from anybody (foreign or indigenous ) companies.

habibi not all Nigerians ohh...infact where I work in the middle East I am well respected. Perhaps this is because of the way I carry myself..... always full of self esteem.

One day I was travelling via MMA . We all queued up for boarding pass when one of these FAAN guys brought 4 Chinese guys to jump the queue, infact they were placed in front of me, Nobody in that long queue altered a word...I just jeje rolled my box and occupied my position infront of them. One of them spoke something that sounded like English mixed with Chinese. .me I just hala my Igbo..enyia odi ka isi adighi gi mma. The chinko just cooldown.

I feel we are part of the problem. If we dont complain how will our labour right be fought for. People just keep quiet and swallow the chinko poo.

The problem is that Nigerians are like children in all aspects of life.

They want to be spoon-fed without putting in any work themselves.

In USA, there are labour laws that protect employees. But most importantly, employees may go postal!

The postal aspect more than the labour laws makes the employers treat employees with all the care they deserve.

If you stop liking life so much and pluck two teeth off your belligerent Chinese supervisor, the menace will stop.

And if the "Mike Tyson" trend continues, the Chinese do not need any soothsayer to chill out on degrading their Nigerian employees.

But no...suffering and smiling is the national past-time.

You can imagine..a Lebanese supervisor kicked down a Nigerian employee from a high building and people stood around to watch.

That is a classic example of when the Lebanese needed to be ALUU-ed and the others will take note.

But regrettably, nobody wants to die for a cause in Nigeria. Everybody wants to die like a slave instead.

xp17: its the culture of Nigerians to pass blames to the next person for their misfortune. if really you train yourself enough to standout, no one ll treat you like a poo.
the simple truth here is , they treat you the way you present yourself and the stereotyping of anyone on light skin as sir or ma'am.

sometime ago, I was at MMA, flying to Frankfurt (germany). I was kinda talking some pictures when one immigration guy walked up to me in an attempt to seize my phone .right there , I reminded him on how they lick white men a'sses , like "would you seize aa white man's phone if he does likewise" ? immediately, the guy shamefully left.

I was so pissed off and shouted at those officers who usually ask for money at the departure. they be like "you get problem with person before" . even the guy that stamped the passport, I directly told him how fuvcked up It's to be a Nigerian force.

not until you guys change you ideologies of "a white God" you ll continue to receive mal-treatment from them.
why not go to your office in the morninng and start doing your job, instead of looking for who to praise ?
I no they even send most Nigerians errants that are out of their Job specifications.

democracy in book, but not applicable in real life.
God abeg oh!
Oga please stop taking pictures in such places. With the way terrorisim is growing here and there, we do not know who is who.
If a security guy approaches to stop you from taking pictures do not be angry with him/her he or she is doing his/her job to protect your life.
Terrorist take pictures of some important places and send it back to their boss for future attack.
please we should learn how to respect our service members. throwing insult on them do not help in any way.
you ask him if he can do that to a white man? you, can you talk to a NY police officer that way?

Thats permanet staff ooo. but wen it comes to nigeria, its out-sourse galore. Its serious capital flight. All these technology transfer will never help us in dis country. All in the name of foriegn investors. Marketing economy. Nigeria is just a glorified supermarket. The solution is for us to develop our mkt by ourselves. It's sad the way Nigerians are being treated in their own country. But calling the Chinese, Indians, Lebanese etc despicable names and cursing the day light out of them doesn't change anything. Those people are investors and providers of employment to thousands or perhaps millions of people the government of Nigeria failed to create employment opportunities for. Whatever miserly salaries they earn are used to provide for their families. That being said, the maltreatment of Nigerians by their Chinese, Indians, Lebanese etc, employers should be condemned in its entirety. For example, Nigerians who own companies in China dare not maltreat their Chinese employees because they'll be fined for breaching the country's labour laws and in extreme cases have their business licences revoked. But in Nigeria such things don't happen because our government is corrupt; the police are corrupt; most Nigerian managers and heads of labour unions in Chinese, Indians and Lebanese companies are corrupt and wicked. Nigerians will only be respected when our government begins to treat us with respect. Until then, some foreigners in Nigeria will continue to thread on our heads with impunity.

Barbaric you say? OK. Keep giving excuses and rationalizing nonsense. The police should have been involved. The police should have involved
themselves without invitation. But how much confidence does the public have on NPF against the machination of Arabs and Chinese?

China cleans herself from corruption by execution. Barbaric? Yes! But works for them and they are progressing. But we will continue to ITK nonsense till kingdom come. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Continue to wait for the police.
