Every pdp member knows that omisore wasn't a strong sellable candidate or product ,but due to his desperation for the party ticket ,many better qualified candidate withdrew from the party slot race . THe result would have been difference if pdp had presented another person.for pdp to have polled close to 200 k votes proves the point that pdp is still a force to reckon with in osun state

On a more serious note, what we are after in Nigeria is free and fair election (Let people's vote count, even if they vote for the least popular party. Olusegun Mimiko won Ondo State governorship election in 2007 on the platform of labour party on the account of his personal popularity and not party base)

If PDP are going to win Back Ogun, the Name PDP has to be changed or wait till 50yrs time. Gbenga Daniel has draged that Acronym PDP in the mud. Even with the change of acronym, they need to wait 15yrs for people to forget. If you are from Ogun and see what Amosun is doing, you will conclude PDP will recapture the state by DEC 50th.

You are right by saying people vote for Candidate and not Party, but I disagree with your assumption that PDP is till a strong party in this state. It is obvious that almost half of the pdp votes were bought, it is evident in Ede North and South.
