This is good of you to pull this back out of the archives. To those living in Enugu, can you please enlighten us on the progress of this? Do you now have free internet access in Enugu?

Yes we do. You buy 1 hours and get 20 minutes FREE.

It is for threads like these that we need a development subsection. . . Seun you dey there?

We can easily have a record for and track the progress of projects like these and others.

You know, keep a watchful eye on our leaders when they set out on projects. . . Make them aware that Nairalanders, and the whole world (via twitter and facebook) are watching them.

This, I believe is over 2 years old. What we are asking now is for updates on the project.

@ Topic,

It's a commendable move by the Enugu state government. Information is a right in 21st century.
Those who fault this move are also those who will fault Nigeria Communication Satellite initiatives.

Carry on Chime, nothing do you!

This service was implemented in 2008/2009. It ran for some time; however, as expected back then I failed because of the high demand from the cloud of computers.

To be candid if any state be it California, wanted to implement this idea free of charge, it will definitely fail.

ifyalways: lol
which schools?which biz?
when we dont have drinking water, epileptic light,pot-hole ridden roads,no food,no work for graduates and the best the govt can come up with NOW is this?this is more like placing the cart before the horse embarassed

No drinking water?? No food?? Where? Who told you there is no food in Enugu state? If you have no food GO BACK TO YOUR VILLAGE AND FARM or shut the hell up and talk about what you know. Your mouth like ''no food''. Maybe you want the govt to be delivering ten bags of rice and garri to your house every week before you will agree there's food. Ode oshi.
