Nigeria: Boko Haram Captures Dikwa, Hoists Flag

"Boko Haram insurgents yesterday conquered yet another local headquarters in Borno State and hoisted their flag as a sign of triumph.
The insurgents captured of Dikwa town, headquarters of Dikwa local government area in central part of the State, witnesses told Daily Trust last night.
Hundreds of heavily armed insurgents were said to have stormed the town in the evening yesterday. Sounds of explosion and gunfire heralded their arrival in the town and residents immediately fled their homes for fear of the unknown.
The Shehu of Dikwa, who is second in the hierarchy of traditional rulers in Borno State, Shehu Muhammad Masta 11 Ibn Alamin Elkanemi, fled his palace along with his family members and courtiers.
The insurgents took over the town and hoisted their flag with little resistance from security forces. Dikwa is less than two hundred kilometers away from Maiduguri.
The residents had been under immense fear since news about the capturing of Gamboru town. The Boko Haram fighters have so far captured three local government areas in the State. Gwoza was the first to be captured the sect leader Abubakar Shekau declared it an Islamic Caliphate.
Gamboru, on the border with Cameroon, fell to the insurgents on Monday and last night Dikwa was subdued.
At each point, the sect leaves behind some fighters under a commander declared as an Amir who takes charge as spiritual and political leader.
While authorities in Borno State have said that they were still unsure regarding the safety of civilians trapped in Gwoza, the Nigerian military, for its part, has dismissed Boko Haram's claims about an "Islamic caliphate" as "empty," insisting that no part of the Nigeria would be conceded to the insurgents.
Also yesterday, Nigerian Military war planes bombed selected targets in Gwoza in an attempt to wrestle the local government away from the Boko Haram members who have made the area their headquarters

Super dunce! The last time i checked...BH carried out thier first attack under the watch of PDP.....there was no APC then.

what is meant by capture?

They invaded the town and sacked indigenes is quite understandable, but capture would mean that as we speak Boko boys are fully visible and in charge of the town?
