Lagos should show them the way out.

On a lighter Note
Why Lagos? Why not Nigeria(FG)
Lagos is still a state under Nigeria.

SporaD8: Thanks for the adjustment.
...but for the sake of everything that is good, why is this dude fashola not yet operating at federal level?
A big fish is swimming in shallow waters here!

Abeg has fashola found the cure for Ebola?!

or are you ignorant of the fact that combating Ebola in Lagos was more of a Federal effort than state?! Or do you think the control measures put in place at Murtala Mohammed Airport (A Federal Airport) was done by Fashola?

Or the funding to the control centres were done by Fashola?!

Why is APC trying so hard to take the credit of the FG in managing the ebola Issue? All the statements and coordination of the ebola issue has come from the health minister not LASG. its just shameful they can't give due credit to the FG where necessary. Bitter politics this is

So LASG managed the PH, Abia, ife cases too?

First off, I never thought I'd say this, but a BIG THANKS and CONGRATULATION to LASG government. I will acknowledge LASG effort on containment of this deadly virus. This virus knows no tribe or religion, and it's containment is really paramount to effectively manage the spread.

Secondly, I thought the U.S. had sent them ZMAPP or whatever concoction they had? I thought they never wanted to associate themselves with Nigeria? Heck they banned flights from Nigeria, even the media backlash was disheartening, now they remember Nigeria exist? Caution should be applied here, no more free meals... Every man for himself... They put their trust on U.S. and other countries, while we put out trust in ourselves. This is indeed a testament Nigeria and Nigerians can achieve anything if we put our mind towards it.

surely, this is a sign to those that understand. that we as a people can take very good care of ourselves, we can work it all out, trace that ebola virus from its very source, kill it amongst our people. after that, hiv will be in seriuos trouble. it is by GOD'S permission, not us, don't ask us/me, ask GOD.

PointB: Nigeria has an obligation to Nigerian citizens to assist other West African nations (Liberia, Sierra Leone, etc) to combact and reign it this deadly virus. If these countries get overwhelmed, there is no border control that will stop expose people, who have the means, from seeking succor in other countries like Nigeria. Either we take the fight to Liberia and Sierra Leone or eventually fight it here in Nigeria. Time to act is NOW!
Impressive.....
Re: Ebola: West-African Nations Approach Lagos For Help. by MadCow1: 3:07pm On Sep 12, 2014
FrankC3: No country approaches a State within another sovereign country for any kind of help. Besides, the EVD control center in Lagos is not run by the LASG, it is being managed by the Ministry of Health. Liberian Government cannot approach Lagos State government for any kind of help, same way Nigeria cannot approach the California State for any kind of help.

The best that happened in this case is that the LASG collaborated with the efforts of the Federal Ministry of Health. The Director should not pretend that LASG was responsible for the EVD control efforts, no. FMH was. State Ministries of Health supported mainly from enlightenment drive, the very type that the director was doing when he/she made that statement.

Lagos seems to get things done efficiently. They were able to contain ebola effectively. I doubt if any other state would have contained ebola like lagos did if the first out break happened there.

1. Was their Ebola in ife...,abia?...dude get your facts right.
2. How do you mean by saying the lasg is trying to take the credit due to the FG. Is Lasg not a part of the Nigeria gov. A glory to Lasgidi is a glory for all. Stop being myopic and see beyond political contrusions

phreakabit: All they'd get is advice on what to do. The situation in their respective nations is already well beyond our ability. At the very least a 100 medical professionals for each of the infected country is required, surely we can' t provide this. If anything the whole world should be involved, and the experimental treatments/drugs should be made available. . . Anything other than this would simply see us generously donating ewedu and bitter kola in huge quantities.
