There has been a heavy fire for fire between members of the dreaded Boko Haram and the Nigerian Soldiers with the help of the gallant Civilian-JTF.
The incidence happened when Boko Haram terrorists set on their mission to capture Maiduguri the Capital City of Borno State. They met a stiff resistance from the Nigerian Army and Civilian-JTF and during the ensuing battle, the entire Boko Haram fighters that came for the operation were wiped out. The number of dead bodies counted totaled 400. While 15 civilian JTF sustained various degrees of injuries and the Nigerian Army lost few officers (No Details for the Nigerian Army).
The Gallant Army Officer who led the operation “OPERATION KUDAN ZUMA” Col. Abubakar stood his ground and COMMANDED THAT NO SOLDIER SHOULD FLEE NO MATTER WHAT.
However, 0nce again as NewsRescue reportedafter the successful recapture of Damboa byMaj. Gen D. M. Kachalla who was immediately thereafter transferred out of Borno, there are rumors going around within the Army Command that Col. Abubakar who led the “Operation Kudan Zuma” will be likely withdrawn and transfer out of the troubled Borno State for reasons best known to the Nigerian Army, a shock to the Civilian-JTF and the habitants of Konduga Local Government area and Maiduguri who just heard the success story of the operation.
Meanwhile, Maiduguri is very calm, normal business is being conducted as usual.

You would have accepted the report if sahara reporters reported that Boko haram captures Konduga and soldiers flee. I weep for you.

Nigerian soldiers today recorded what many described as "landslide victory" by killing over 120 Boko Haram insurgents in an encounter in Konduga town.

Konduga, situated 40 kilometers along Bama road is a gateway to Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.

In the last two weeks, sources said the Boko Haram insurgents have been making frantic efforts to attack the state capital.

A credible security source said the encounter in Konduga lasted between 4am and 12 noon today.

According to him, " This was the happiest outing by troops of the 7 Division in recent times.

"Almost all the terrorists that mobilized for the Konduga attack were killed. Two of them were arrested and the simple fact is that the Boko Haram suffered a major defeat this time around. They came when our men were ready for them.

"All the vehicles they came with were either shelled or confiscated. About six of the vehicles have been taken to the Maimalari Barracks so far and more are on the way.

"Our troops also recovered dozens of rifles and explosives. A suicide bomber was also intercepted and killed.

"A cameraman that they came with them in order to cover their planned attrocity was also killed and the remnant of the camera recovered," he said.

No news on this insurgents can be as refreshing as this. Long live NA, Long live the CJTF. We hope to see more of those killings until they are all routed.

Yes, the military did take over Konduga, but reports say over a hundred BH fighters died, and not 400.
Good news, anyway.

It is just my opinion but I think there should really be a national holiday call "Kill Boko Haram Day" and on this day we should rejoice for all the dead Bokos roasting in hell.

Boko fighters attempted to take Kawuri and the checkpoint along Konduga-Maiduguri-Jere road that stands between them and Maiduguri proper but they were repelled by the NA & CJTF. It was a sweet victory, several Boko fighters were killed.

I am not a pessimist but i fear a counter-attack from the Haramites
