@ post. U r right; but not because of the rib thing. As long as traditional and learnt gender roles portray men as the "men". . .

Imagine a 12yr old cry and I tell him "you are such a girl"(weak, emotional sissy)

The male usually learns to grow assertive, inquisitive and domineering, while their counterparts are taught to be self preserving, submissive. . .

Experiments with maths and engineering have been conducted to prove these stereotypes; where a male and a female with equal capabilities were given supposedly "manly" tests in the same room. The knowledge of the stereotypes will kick in, increase the males performance, and have a negative effect on the females. If they are both told before the tests that males and females typically score the same average on the same test, the stereotypes are eliminated and they both perform to their potential; equal.

I personally believe that men and women are quite equal. (We have fascinating tomboys  cheesy, and effeminate bastards angry to show us that)

These stereotypes took us a lifetime to establish, it would take another lifetime to erase.
You can be whatever you want to be if you condition your mind to that new orientation.

You Think, Therefore You Are.

Feminists live in fantasy.

It all boils down to the age old debate of nature vs. nuture(biological determinism or agents of socialization) which is mere sophism giving that nature dictates the workings of nuture; without nature there's no nuture.

We can all agree that women have a double X chromosome and lack the Y male; the genetic wiring of females makes them naturally endowed to nuture babies and children which demands a lot of time and energy.

The male Y chromosome evolved from the female X chromosome, and prior to that, there were only asexually reproduced females. Females are geneticaly superior to males and they need males to ease the struggle for the reproduction of labour and society. Man was made for woman not woman for man.

The females role in existence is motherhood; a role that is despised and rejected by the modern woman.

Her original duty as mother entails recieving the required resources for child rearing from the male who goes out to seek for it and returns to deposit the acquired necessaries while also providing protection to the continuation of the human lineage.

Men, on average, are physically stronger than females(as bestowed on them by their Y chromosome) hence their role as protector and provider. Their natural role as a bridge to the materials that sustains both mother and child give them a natural upper hand in the governing process in the smallest institution commonly called the family. This fundamental role play is then magnified and reflected in various forms in every social institution within human society.

Let us stop faking the funk and stick to the original program.

power has changed hands.  many women in the board rooms now.  unemployment amongst male is more than the women work force.  salary is not there yet  but technically women are now more empowered than men.

i pity the younger generation of men or shall we say  boys.

boardroom population says nothing about equality; its all in the mind. If I'm in a board with one other man and 7 women, I expect to take control; and so do the ladies. subconsciously- even though they'll portray denial of that fact. its Social Science; undisputed

weaker sex yet they're the ones who endure the knife cuts from cooking in the kitchen? weaker sex yet they endure menstrual pain and child labor? weaker sex yet they work and also take care of the family? You people never cease to amaze me! One thing is for sure though: men are only stronger than women when it comes to fighting, that's it. And even then, some women would whoop some men's asses. Ask Mo'nique.

The Moral Implication of Gender Violence in the Context of Social Inequality in Nigeria

Gender –based violence is a universal reality in all societies regardless of income, class and culture. It would be difficult to find one woman, whom at one time or the other in her lifetime has not been afraid merely because she was a woman. Those women who are particularly vulnerable...
