I spent d #1 and 5kobo on sweets.I can remember i rub them on concerete wall when its rusted,cz it wud be rejected! ... Just like torn notes are rejected now . Those days ehn? |

iamord:yeah Pintos on Allen avenue. Saturday shoppings were in UTC and Cheleramms. with 50 kobo I could buy gogo, tandi gurana, choco Milo, smarties, M &K, pepered dodo ikire, guguru, epa. Once u buy those thing you had to share to all your friends bit by bit because they will be stretching put their hands surrounding. Till today I still buy Chico Milo and save it in my handbag. |

There were so much goodies back then.. And am happy that I partook in it..the last one I ate was epa! That one will stay forever.. One memory I will never forget was an indian circus group that came to perform some majical tricks and stunts @ unilag main auditorium around 95. It was so much fun. OP I think you missed out the older currency used by Nigeria,the symbol on our CENTRAL BANK logo ie the 3 horse-shoes like items facing each other is the Manila,that's the first currency used by Nigeria. |

Thank God for history. And also than nairaland for this medium of education. I finally thank the masses for refusing the federal govt. to bring up the N5000 note, they plan it, but God did not allow them. |
