I know this is a facetious cheesy generalisation
but I have noticed to my great initial amazement
and increasing consternation the indigenes of this state
have a baffling penchant for bombast and verbosity.

Notable examples, the incomparable Patrick Obahiagbon aka Igodo Megodo
and Don Pedro Obaseki, ever present on interludes on the new movie channel
AIT moviestar.

Make una tell them make they soffry soffry give monkey banana na

This disconcerting and disorienting predisposition and predilection towards grandiloquent, tautological or vituperative oratory calisthenics should not under any circumstances be arrogated to the Edo demographic delineation exclusively, given that the Nigerian socio-political and enthno-geographic undulations teem with myriad individuals of diversified anthropogenic classification who analogously exhibit a marked equivalence of subsumed restraint or compunction with respect to their persistent and wanton deconstructive mutilation of the Queen's language.

Re: Why Edo People Like Big Grammar? by sleekp1: 11:07am On Nov 08, 2008
I refuse to acquiesce the notion that Edoid people are predisposed to catapulting obscure words of the Queens dictionary to "Obahiagbonese" importance. The above hubus will _-_ _-_ God am beginning to sound like 4Play.
Re: Why Edo People Like Big Grammar? by brownbonno(m): 11:50am On Nov 08, 2008
This is an individual thing.Patrick Obahiagbon is not communicating(as per the Video).

@tope2000,

No, I'm not from Edo but I've also noticed this among some from Edo State. It may be due to the fact that the Benin Empire had very early contacts with English traders. Who knows?
