Terrorism Religious With Politics Undertone

A religion which its pioneer Uthman Dan Fodio for Nigeria (and perhaps other pioneers elsewhere too) set the Jihad-against-government example for its subsequent followers, equals to contemporary terrorism!!!

How does the wanton killing of unarmed civilians come in? Since terrorists are up against a particular regime, it only becomes a question of necessity to attack the populace which the regime governs and thus make the regime appear stupid!
