In a society where an individual has accepted an idea without verify-able reasons nor evidence....can that individual actually find the truth after having accepted a pre-drawn conclusion to it....

Are we harming people assuring them with hope that isn't based on anything truthful?...
Are we content with knowing what might be true other than what is true?
Do we treat others differently based on a model of reality that is evidently true and are validate-able?or ones which are not?
If we burn our own model of reality that we can't verify to be true into others heads' are we lying to them?....if we do so for those with evidence are we telling them the truth?
Do we ally ourselves with individuals with models of reality that concur with what we can ascertain to be true to certain degrees of accuracy?...or do we muddle with individuals who have accepted models of reality they cannot vouch for nor defend with evidence?
what reasons do we have to paint a picture of something we don't understand to fill up our ignorance of it?
