Madam,its easier sed dan done!am pregnant @ d moment and nomata ow much I try 2prevent havin mood swings or overreact,I end up doin it...perhaps,thers little or notin u can do 2 control ur hormones...plus pregnancy is not as easy as u tink!!!

I have worked with pregnant women many times and I have never seen any of them having mood swings at work and taking them out on their colleagues, clients or bosses. I can excuse a woman who is going through a difficult pregnancy but a normal pregnancy is not an illness, is it?

During pregnancy I was such a bitch and I just couldn't help it. It caused many problems cos my husband was like you say " You are using pregnancy as an excuse to insult me". I told him I didnt need an excuse that I will insult him if I choose

Well the pregnancy passed and things went back to normal and I couldn't believe how evil I had been. He apologised and I apologised but he knew what to expect the next time.

Little do you know. Pregnancy is the WORST illness you will ever encounter. because there is no medication for it. FYI all women are not the same. Pregnancy affects women differently. The same woman will have different reactions to diff pregnancy. Just pray your own won't be bad and don't blame others for things they can't help.

Hormones which causes mood swings. When they are in the bad mood, they become hostile to anything around them.

I thank God my wife wasn't having having too much mood swings.

Scientifically speaking,i think the word to be used here should be impatience,intolerant and nt hostile.amongst the hormones for reproduction like testosterone,progesterone,oxytocin,prolactin,FSH,LSH,and others,only one is for a man;testosterone.its been proved that a woman also has testosterone.Now all the homones in a woman make her react the way she does.all she needs during pregnancy is just extra love..This is ma view.tnks

Women exhibit varied behavioural patterns during pregnancy....mainly due to hormonal changes. The type n extent of these behavioural changes vary from one woman to d other. The pattern of behaviour may exist before pregnancy and become aggravated or it's entirely new. Being out of character is perhaps what d op calls hostility....an otherwise easy going woman suddenly becomes easily irritated. The people around a pregnant woman are affected most by her changed attitude n habits. But pls understand it's not easy being pregnant....d "load" literally weighs her down physically, emotionally n psychologically....this is not entirely her fault It's not only her immunity level that's low, her ability to contain n control her behaviour n cravings is also very low....but this behaviour fluctuates though....she will not be "hostile" every day of d pregnancy.
However, some women carry their pregnancy without exhibiting these negative tendencies.....it's different strokes for different folks.
So pls exercise patience when a woman goes for this nine month course.....it's only a passing phase.

As a tip, just place your ears near the heart of any angry woman around you and you will hear some beeps(sometimes sounding chio, chio,chio) and that's the hormone in action. Anyway, don't bother yourself, you're too young for such metaphysicals. Just face your studies and I will advise your mum and dad to make Homonology your first choice in the university. I just had a flash back of my experience with a relative back in the days. In fact, I was her major target and prey.

If you also have something growing inside you - often against your wish, i am sure you will be hostile to everyone

my brother in-law got it from me during my pregnancy period. It pissed me off each time I saw his smelly shirts in the basket waiting for the launderer. I always feel like "why must his shirt smell this bad more especially the armpit side?". During pregnancy, my sense of smell grow very high, everythn smells bad. I always shout at him for using that perfume, body cream that has a pungent smell ever. Even his new shoes smell like a rotten tomatoes, and it was like "those shoes are to suppose to be in that wardrobe, they stinks". I enter his room anyhow to shout at him for putting smelly cucumbers inside my fridge o my grrrr I waz always on his neck, my husband understand it all. He's always there to calm me down giving me a shoulder to lean on. The shouting and scolding part has ended, and my brother in-law's now refused to stop teasing me with it. Am happy he understands.

You will be made to tolerate more-you will ask her in the early evening do you want pap so I can buy now, she will say no then wake you up by 2am that she wants pap. You will be made to go beg your neighbour for pap. When you are done making it and give it to her, she will then realize she's lost appetite for pap now she wants chocolate cake plus vanilla strawberry ice cream. Irritability will be the least of your problems.

Lol. I did this too. 8pm I wanted catfish pepper soup almost to the point of wailing. Hubby trekked and trekked to get it for me, only for me to reject it because it smelled like spoilt locust beans. He asked me if I was sure, I said yes. Fast forward 2 hours later, after the poor man had eaten it, I wanted pepper soup again.
