Embarrassing how virtually every state depends on federal allocation for sustenance. State government can't even raise funds (or manage resources) sufficiently to be semi-indpendent.

When you want to know those that will die of hunger if Nigeria break, just take a look at those that hates the idea of splitting Nigeria.

Now that every single janjawiid is some how blaming the fall in oil pricing on the Jonathan administration and the impending slow down on the economy, I will like to remind all of you what the Governor of Osun State said early this year about the low benchmark of oil sales used to base the 2014 budget.

The only thing holding this country together is oil

The only reason the rest of the country especially the north and SW are in this is because of the oil.

Fact!

That why I get angry with those who like to attack people from the oil producing area as if they don't deserve anything better.

Groundnut pyramids, cocoa and palm was our investment in the oil. Still benefiting Wether little or much

You bloody liars!

Your useless cocoa did not pay for the development of the oil industry.

Oil companies risked their money investing in exploration and drilling.

Besides, Nigeria operated a regional govt so whatever you made in your banana country was spent in your region.

Get a hold of the 1914 Report by Lord Lugard and see that the Niger Delta and SE made more money from Palm oil than both the parasitic north and southwest.
