I'm quite surprised no one has asked important questions on this thread that ought to have been asked. Questions such as ;

1. On eligibility of contestants : it was stated undergraduates and recent graduates are eligible. Please how "recent" is recent? For instance, someone already asked if a 2010 graduate be considered as recent.


2. On the length of the essay : 400-700 words were specified. Will this be inclusive of the quoted references or exclusive?


3. If there are more essays submitted on a particular area of interest over other areas of interest. How will the best amongst them be sorted if they're all well written? I'm asking this, because i felt a general topic (not theme) should have be selected for the essayists to write on.

These are my thoughts and questions for now. Looking forward to your response. Thank you.

I'd suggest that the "recent graduates" criterion in the OP be limited to the last 2 years.
